| Ok, so most of my friends think it's hilarious that I love all hard rock, alternative, metal, goth...and then turn around and listen to musicals. Anything with a good beat and can be head-banged to is definitely worth listening to in my book. Unless, of course, the band sucks or I hate their individual sound.
But when I'm not listening to any of those lovely bands, I've got some show from Broadway or off-Broadway in the cd player. Wicked, The Last 5 Years(excellent show, the one that I've been listening to most lately. It's got two people, Cathy and Jamie, and his songs are from the beginning of their five year relationship, and hers start at the end, right after he's left their house and they're getting divorced), Rags, Cats, the list goes on and on.
Anybody else here like musicals, or am I the only musical theater geek around here?

| I feel pretty, oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and gay, and I pity, any girl who isn't me tonight..
Yeah, I like that one. I love the ones that I can sing along to, that are in the right key for my voice.. That makes it so much more fun!

| mhm, its kinda funny. like in the wizard or oz, the tin man was replaced because the aluminum powder they used on his face almost collasped his lungs - the ironic part, is that he outlived every single person involved in that movie, including the guy that replaced him, excluding a few of the munchkins. | |

| i'm obsessed with Les Miserables..but thats just cause that was the last musical i was in..also been in Bugsy Malone, Fame, Godspell and Summer Holiday.. love Chicago, West side story, Bombay Dreams, Miss Saigon and Little Shop of Horrors. Would never go see Joseph and his Technicolour Dream Coat or Starlight Express again..hated them.. and i'm desperate to see Wicked and Avenue Q. | |

| I reeeeally wanna see Wicked. I've been listening to the soundtrack and have seen when they do like scenes at the Royal Variety and stuff... erm...Little Shop of Horrors...Chicago...Grease (altho the movie, not the theatre: that sucked). I don't mind Joseph...I like singing a couple of the songs loudly. I liked Les Mis..My friend did it. oh I wanna see Avenue Q! I wanna see We Will Rock You. Our school is doing it as part of the Edinburgh Festival which should be good. Rocky Horror counts right?! That's my mucho favourite...the Buffy musical episode too! | |

| ooh! i forgot rocky! shame on me! hmm.. i didn't really like We Will Rock You..don't get me wrong, i did enjoy it just cause the music is amazing and the excitement of being in London and everything..but the actual story line is pish..its like "hmm..lets make up a random story that'll fit around as many queen songs as we can..regardless of how little sense it makes or how shite the plot is.." If it were a musical with random songs it'd be terrible..But just cause its Queen its worth seeing.. | |

| I saw Wicked with my school for £5. Now that's an awesomely cheap and amazing night. I want to see Avenue Q too, I remember on Musicool they went to see it and even from the tiny clips it looked good. My friend has a CD with random musical songs. I like singing along to Oh! Well I never! Was there ever A cat so clever as magical Mr. Mistoffelees..
Hehe. | |

| I've got a video of Cats.. Kiki, if I come to visit you(like I desparately want to..), I'll bring a vcr, my tape, and something to convert the plug because I think it won't work there.. I forgot that I love Miss Saigon, but I've only ever heard the music. My favorite song from that is I Still Believe. And Phantom was awesome, I think if I can't find a Scottish magician, I'll just marry Gerard Butler and then I could die happy(after many, many years. ) | |

| hehe, you naughty girl.
I've never truly seen a broadway play, but I've seen musicals on the telly!
the modern one for teens and wee ones [like the under ten or five years old group] is High School Musical. haha.

| anyone who likes High School Musical should be shot dead in my opinion. How it can even call itself a musical is beyond me..due to having a younger sister, i have seen parts of it..and from what i can see, none of them can sing, dance or act..so wtf are they doing on my TV?? | |

| My mom and little sister bought the special edition dvd.. Meh, I've seen it or heard it so many times just from being in the house that I probably know most of the songs. I hate what they make their voices do.. It's almost like(and I'm not aiming to offend here) pop music is the new country, for not needing real talent, just peppy lyrics, an upbeat voice, and a pretty face. And my sister knows the dances.... | |
