| Right guys, i've got pretty dark hair atm, and its in quite good condition. but. it's boring. and i want my bleach blonde back. but being a student i'm pretty skint, so it's going to have to be a DIY job. so whats going to be the best way to do it? and the best products to use?
thanks y'all |

| do you have access to a sally's? because i think they carry the "better" products. however, i do not. so to wal mart we go! i usually use the dream blonde bleach by l'oreal. when i went from this: - Spoiler:
to this: - Spoiler:
i bleached i think it was 3 times. i also used hair treatments in between and after bleaching it. then i used an ashy dye when i was done bleaching it. it's pretty much hit or miss with using drug store bleach, i find. good luck!

| what you need... Bleach maybe 2 boxes? you're not going to get to a level 10 right away. & you look like a 4-5 now. toner, manic panic virgin snow or go to sally's and buy light b/v deposit only color & activator to make it a pretty not brassy shade. & deep conditioners + shower caps 2 sleep in. shampoo and conditioner for dry hair.
but honestly... go to a salon.... http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY10523&PRODUCT_ID=PROD15198 http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY10523&PRODUCT_ID=PROD15545 http://www.aveda.com/templates/products2/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY11409&PRODUCT_ID=PROD5804

| I'd do it gradually. Do a bleach bath and buy a wash in wash out colours in between, so your colour dosent look awful but your not putting any chemicals on yyour hair.
Bleach bath - mix bleach and a strong shampoo, and (using gloves and whatnot) wash your hair with it. it;s important to be careful but this will be a nicer way to gradually lighten your hair!!
Admittedly, i think your taking a massive risk by trying to do it yourself. Your're better off saving a bit more money and getting it done professionally. working in a salon, i've seen some AWFUL hair from home bleach jobs. proper falling out breaking brittle cant brush it hair. so, like alexa said, if your going to do it, lots of treatments in bewteen times (stengthening and protein ones especially) and use weaker products. but yeah... pro is best.

| yeah definatley!! I'm sure you used to get highlights every 6 weeks or so with your old blonde... Jyst start going and they can gradually lighten it with highlights. much much better. | |

| That alright love =) If your tight on money, go to a big salon that you know is good and ask for an appointment with one of their trainees or newly qualified stylists - cheap and they're almost always closely supervised, so good hair on a budget. It might take a little longer ubut you save alot of money. | |
