| Something similiar has probs been posted, if it has redirect me and shoot me.
I'm dying my hair red, i then want to bleach the ends and dye them yellow.
kinda like hayley in emergency, thats the best example i can give really.
so i was wondering, how long should i wait after dying my hair to bleach the tips and how long after bleaching should i wait to dye them yellow? the yellow is only semipermanent and the red is permanent btw just incase that makes a difference.
thanks in advance! xox |

| well, if you're dying your hair bright red you might wanna bleach your whole head before dying, that way the color is brighter.
paging jessie to this thread. lol.

| yeh if your hair is quite dark then you'll want to lighten your hair a bit first.
id say bleach it and dye it red. use conditioning treatments on it and then after a few days do the ends.

| yeah i just did the red and cos the dark brown hadnt faded it hasnt come out as light as i would have liked it so i will look through the dyes at work and see if we sell any that will lighten it a bit, i guess it will be easier now the red is actually in my hair :/ ah wellll lol i guess that when i redye it next time my hair may have lightened a bit anyway. it went bright red on my roots and i just wish it could have gone that colour all over :/ |

| lol probably, my bf and one of my friends are 'strawberry blond' which they insist isn't ginger so we would probably end up being like that, it's a shame that it has such negative connotations (i think i spelt that wrong but i like the worrd) it's such a pretty hair colour, i hate the whole 'ginger minger' thing the fact that people our age still say it is pretty sad aswell lol :// |

| bleach you hair, then use a deep conditioner - I like neutrogena's deep conditioner in the jar. it makes my brittle, relaxed hair soft and healthy.
wait a day or two for your hair's natural oils to build up after bleaching, then dye your hair red except for your tips, and let it stay in for an hour or two with a plastic shower cap on. if you want the colour to be really vibrant, blow dry with the cap on your head - it helps your hair soak in the colour.
then just put the yellow dye on your tips the next day, since you shouldn't have red on the tips at all.
