| bleached my hair last night with the intention of then dying it bright red.. but i'd never used that make before and realised half way through doing it that one packet was not enough and i should have really bought two. so its stupidly uneven, and i don't want to dye it red now cause it'll be all patchy and ginger in places (a mistake i've made before) do you think i can bleach the places i've missed again today? or is that completely going to screw up my hair? i know it's gonna be horribly dry anyway and thats fine, i'll just get some mad strong conditioner from sallys and deal with straw like hair for a while. so yeh, any ideas? | |

| Forget hairdressers. Use the most thick, moisterizing conditioner you can, pile it on thick, wrap your head up and leave it a few hours, and then bleach it again, and then do the conditioner thing over.
This is what i did when i bleached mine (though i used 3 bleaches over about 2 weeks it should still work, my hair's been through alot ha ha). I should think this would help it stop breaking.

| ha ha, i'm like that, which is why i bleached my hair so much so i could look like marilyn monroe for my school prom!
I tend to change my look on a whim. Like i'll be in superdrug and see a purple dye and be like, you know what? I'm gonna have purple hair tomorrow.

| the conditioning and re-bleaching is always a good idea, but most people can get by with bleaching 3 or 4 times in a couple of days before there hair begins to break off after you bleach it the second time get a toner |

| I done pretty much the exact thing you wanna do Gill.
Dyed it blonde then put red in it. Toon is right, I put hunners of conditioner in my hair then slept with it on overnight (hair in a towel) and in the morning when i woke it it was loads better.
Would probs b safe to dye again after that.
