| ok so you girlies all know how i have bleached my hair to death right?
well im sick of being blonde so i told mum to run along and get me some brown hairdye with either a red or purple tint, and she came back with that new loreal paris casting creme gloss stuff
in 'Plum'
its a gorgeous colour, only problems are
a) im worried that on my dead hair it'll go violet instead of dark plum
b) my scalp ha been a little flaky lately.
should i be worried? |

| condition your hair and scalp with a hair mask overnight, and then dye it. that should do wonders, and it'll help the dye take a little better. | |

| Put olive oil all over your hair and sleep with it in. It should be in a lot better condition in the morning. |

| I highly doubt it - the conditioner or olive oil [Ive heard good things about using EVOO in your hair overnight, it would be a good idea if you have some] will moisturize your hair and scalp, so the dye should take to you hair well and remain true to colour! :] | |

| Do a test strand. Like it always suggest in the instructions. Just see what kind of color it produces |

| unless your hair has ALOT yellow tone to it it will turn purple (the purple would probably counteract the yellow and it would come out a lil' more normal) putting any color over light blonde will result in a really prominent undertone if you use an ash your hair will turn green violet=purple copper=orange and so on for blues, reds etc. it also might depend on the type of dye is it box dye or do you have to measure and mix your own color and developer? box dyes are usually just basic colors and don't have strong developers but with salon dyes you should always use the correct directed developer unless you are only trying to tone the hair, which usually results in a very true color you might want to try using a yellow toner or yellow or ash based brown over your hair before using the "Plum" |

| L'Oreal has always been the best dye in my opinion...so I think you're ok there it's really probably going to turn purple so you should tone it first, on the other hand you might get lucky i don't use box dyes so I don't know much about it other than how to fix your hair if you don't get lucky with it and for you're flakey-ness, Denorex dandruff shampoo is my favorite and it doesn't strip hair color |

| I used that dye but like a different colour and it came out really dark, so I shouldnt worry it also conditions your hair so well! Because mine was wrecked and it was soo shiny and heathy |
