I got a new tattoo yesterday afternoon ( a little heart with the stars & stripes in it) on my stomach & it's STILL really painful to the touch. I have other tattoos, including a piece of similar size & detail and all of them calmed down within 12 hours or so.
It's on my stomach so I can't 'air' it - should I cover it up with clingfilm, 'cos it's sticking to my shirt? I'm sure I read somewhere not to cover tattoos up with any kind of dressing once they've quit bleeding but might it help in this case?

i dunno about tattoos but id just google aftercare.

if you're in the house i say wear your shirt tied up away from it or wear something really baggy that might not stick to it.

My sister put cellophane type stuff on hers ( she wears a white shirt to work, and ink kept getting on it,) and the tattoo is fine.

You have to show a picture of the tat once it's healed - it sounds sooo cute with the stripes aspect!

Thanks, it's kinda better today I was just freaking out 'cos it has red ink & I hear some people are allergic to it + it can leave massive scarring & infections etc.

only a few folk are allergic to it..if you are, it'll most likely show as lumps in your lymphatic system..so look out for wee lumps in your armpits and groin area..but yeh, don't get paranoid or anything, im sure your fine Smile
