Getting a new Tattoo....

It's the 1 year anniversary of my grandmother's death on July 27th, and my sister and I are going to get tattoos in honour of her.

My grandmother's name is Eros (the god of love--long story how she ended up with it), so we're getting roses. And I'm looking for WICKEDLY COOL roses to get done. Anyone have any ideas? I've looked about the 'net, and can't really find one that I like.

I'd LOOOOVE for it to be knotwork at the bottom (like the stem part), with the rose up top.

I think this one's pretty cool, though the roses aren't the main focus.


That's listed as a Celtic rose.. I dunno, though. Doesn't much look like a rose to me.

Stars are cool, but will you want that on you in 10 years?

i think its cool you have something like your granny to get a tattoo based on. not cool that she died..because i remember before how sad you were but cool that you were that close to her you'd do that.
i feel like i dont have anything significant i could base a tattoo on..thats why im not getting one so young. i dont mean i want a close relative to die but you know what i mean. the only thing thats crossed my mind is a squirrel...my grandad Cyril (the squirrel!). He died when I was young but apparently im quite like him...i wish id known him...i still get really sad even tho he died when i was like 2...

My sis is getting a rose as well....might be the same one, might be different. I'm getting my artist friend Nicole to take a look at the art I like and to draw up something for us.

We're hopefully going on July 27th.... Just need to make sure I have the cash for it.
