Tattoo Ideas!

You ladies can post your tattoo ideas (pictures, inspirations, thoughts etc) here =)

Part of my tax refund will be going to a little dragon wrapped around my ankle with a spool of thread in his claw and a needle in his mouth.

I think i've decided for reals what i want.

a tiny tree on my left wrist
a little elephant with its trunk up raised on the right wrist, done in a very henna style.
a large compass star in the middle of upper back, with a red nautical star to the right, and a green on the left (red right returning). it makes me think of my family and to remind me i'm definitely a water child. i dunno. i can't easily explain its significance.

i might get the tree or elephant soon, considering i did get a nice tax refund.

Those all sound like really pretty ideas. It's annoying for me because I want SOMETHING and I know what I like but I can't like, summarise it into a tattoo? I don't know.

Hmm, I want one but haven't had an idea for a design that's special enough for me to get it done yet.

I would quite like something done to remind me (that's not the right choice of words but it'll do) of my best friend who died. But that has to be 110% perfect. Even though she'd probably think I was stupid for getting a tattoo about her!

I'm getting a really simple branch with cherry blossoms on it, which signifies that frailty life, with some falling petals for family members who have died. Then I think I'll get another one, probably a swallow because it means return to home and faithfulness to family.

I want to get some sort of sun/moon/stars combination for my Pop Pop. He's called me his sun moon and stars since I was a baby, and I think it would be a nice way to always have him with me. I'll have to design it myself, and as for the location... I have no clue.

i dont know if i DO but sunflowers have always been my favourite flower and my dad and i used to grow them in the garden together so ive thought about getting a sunflower for a while.

I want to get the shitty dragon on my ankle covered with a butterfly. I'm going to have one on my foot, a sort of larger one covering the dragon and another medium sized one a bit further up. Then I want grass in the background starting from where my foot touches the floor and going up to a bit before the last butterfly. Then when I stand in a feild it will look like the grass is growing up my leg. I just need to actually save some money because I think it might be as much as $1000. Maybe if my jewellery starts selling well, that will be my treat to myself for working so hard!

I want a small peace sign behind each ear, because ever since I was little I've always been the 'peacemaker' in my group of friends, and I hate it when people fight. I hate wars, and all that jazz. It just means a lot to me when people can find the energy to be nice rather than choose the easy path and be angry and rude.

I'm also planning on getting a breast cancer ribbon on the left side of my chest, for my Auntie Connie that passed away from B.C. when I was nine.

im noodling on 5 little winnie the pooh bees on one of my knees, a measuring tape tied in a bow on my left shoulder, and i decided that i want to get the word 'fierce' tattooed on the inside of my lower lip

what colours?

i'd probably have very little colour, but like slight blue/grey shading on the anchor, then fine green lines on the vine to define it, and probably orange or pink on the flowers.

my next are going to be JP and WJ on the insides of my ankles for my grandfathers and a tribal letter "b" on my right forearm for my brother blake. eventually i'll scan the "b" i have drawn up. :]

Lately i've REALLY been wanting an inner lip tattoo.
I want a lightning bolt!
But the problem with inner lip tattoos is that the ink fades very fast.
Depending on your body it would take a few days to a few years, you know?
But I still kind of want it! I just want to know how much it would be initially and how much touch ups would be.
hmm!

As for normal tattoos:
I'm going to be a nurse, so I can't have any visible tattoos.
So i'm planning on getting my hips all tattooed, eventually my back as well.
I'm planning a chest piece right now, actually. It won't be huge, but not tiny. And it'll be very feminine! not like unoriginal butterflies. but it'll be awesome!
I want my feet tattooed as well, one foot will have mom the other will have dad, with vibrant colours, not sure what else though. Eventually i'd like to get pieces for my two siblings as well.

Isn't a chest piece kinda visible?

uniforms are all different - it's best to try getting something that you can't see when you wear a white shirt (you know, the normal button up kinda) because they are generally how most uniforms are.

Wearing scrubs, it's not visible. Like with my placement, there's an exact scrub uniform I need. But later on as a nurse, it's way more lax with style and whatnot.
But i've had my scrubs on, and with the size and placement, it isn't visible
