| Subject: Christmas Swap? Mon Oct 29, 2007 3:57 pm | |
| Anyone for secret santa for christmas? It's basically November so why don't we start seeing if anyone is up for this? We can organise it for November and arranged for it to be posted at the start of December so it's nice and festive! What do you ladies think? We'd need to see if you thought the last size was good or if you think an A4 or something would be better? Some stuff to include would be: A card A gift for your girly/boy A tree ornament/other decoration Some sweets/munchies. So...if you're interested - LET ME KNOW BY POSTING HERE! Also post any opinions you have on size (remember people do have money and cost issues - so nothing huge. Personally I think a4 would be max but a5 was pretty successful), any ideas for contents which might inspire...any ideas you have which might help. 3 things: 1. I know some people may not celebrate christmas but thats ok! You just have to let us know (noone will judge!) and your sender can work around it and try to include stuff geared to your beliefs, or you can just get a little pressie to make you SMILE! (which obviously wouldnt include ornaments etc ). So if you have issues, let me know! Doesn't have to be now, but bear in mind that just because you don't celerate, doesn't rule you out of taking part! 2. We are still trying up the last swap but in general most of the packages have been recieved (THANK YOU GORGEOUS PEOPLE!) or are winging their way to you as we speak (thank you...nice people ). Hopefully the xmas deadline will mean things get out on time and it will be more successful. I ask for this that if you do think you'll have problems, let me know or don't sign up. Unforseen problems are ok - so long as you let me know! 3. If you aren't able to send out a package then don't worry! If you don't have time or money or are one of the people who may have difficulties; maybe we could have a card swap too where you send cards out to people and recieved some in return! The cards can just have a cute message or you could make them yourself or enclose poems/lyrics/a letter - It's still creative and a fun swap for those with not much time/cash! This could maybe work if you aren't allowed to give your address out. This could maybe be done with email or something too. So...LET ME KNOW GUYS! I really enjoyed the last one and it was fun to organise so I'm happy to do it again (I don't mind knowing who I get because I still get the surprise of what's in it! and with the trials of this one, I'm not ready to hand over yet to be honest...hopefully you understand that!) | |

| id like to suggest that it would be wise to send things with recorded delivery or some sort of postage recipt this time round...a few people say they have sent packages (and im sure have) but they have not been recieved at the other end.
sometimes that happens but recorded delivery may be sensible and im sure its not that much more.

I do it for EVERYTHING, especially any forms I send to the government, then there is record of it arriving there and they can't say "Oh, we never received it".

| Yeh that's true. It's worth it especially if it's going overseas. It's a wee bit more but if you know your package should get there then yey! | |

what are your ideas/opinions on the size of the package? should it be a bit bigger (like a4?) or should it stay the same? any ideas for what to include?
