EXTENSIONS

Does anybody else ever wear extensions? Not the clip-in kind...but the kind either braided or bonded in by heat or glue? I had extensions for the first time and booo...I just got done taking them out. Mine were glued in so they were starting to grow out with the natural roots of my hair but let me just say it was SUCHHH a pain to take them out. The water in my shower ended up getting freezing cold by the time I was done. (I naturally have kinda long hair anyways so yeah.)

Anyways! I think I'm addicted to extensions now. Just wish I had the money to get them heat bonded in for 3-4 months...even though my glued in ones lasted well over 2 months because I maintained them well. Hopefully I can get a new set reglued in at the end of the month because I have another package of hair...just have to pay salon costs, or cut them up and do it myself with the help of someone...whatever. It's really not that hard...I'd like to start doing them for my friends actually. It's fun and not that expensive at all or damaging to your hair if you do them right. And it'd be really fun to experiment with like makin the bottom layer of your hair a different color cause of the extensions. Ooo hmm....hehe....

A few girls on here have extensions. Kiki had them for a bit, I know, and Cortney just got them. Sarahpuffy and I have been discussing them because I'm thinking of getting them because I'm tired of waiting for my hair to grow faster..

Im pretty much a pro with extensions now.
and yehhh, this belongs in glam.

but still.
I did my own extensions for months, and it wasnt bad. theyre the reason why my hair is longer now. but neh. I get bored after a while.

Sorry, I didn't know where it belonged so I just put it here. Figured it was off topic if anything!

Anyways, that's cool Poly. What did you use to take yours out? I used some like $5 oil from the beauty shop along with lots of shampoo and conditioner but there's still tons of icky glue in my hair that I'm brushing out. (Cause the glue tends to get all rolled up into balls n sticky once wet which is good if you wanna get it off your hands and stuff but not cool when it sticks to your hair lol) Hopefully after it dries all the way it'll be easier to brush out. Or I'll just go to the salon tommorow and have them do a good conditioning on it and make them do the work hahaha.

usually Im able to pull them all out with no prob, because I have to redo mine every month when Ive got them. then I'd shampoo, and use the comb to comb out excess glue when my hair is all lathery. then condition, do the same thing, then condition more,

and I'll be fine after that.

and all of the glue will be gone after a day.

It's not long enough, Kiki! I want it to be near the same length as Meggles has.. though I think the discussion with Puffy ended with me laughing about how I could just get a wig and wait for my hair to grow that way.

I can take you to Sephora! And I'll find where the MAC stores are downtown and I'll take you there. Do you like ferris wheels? We have a fifteen-story one at Navy Pier. It's pretty cool, but it goes reeeeeeeeally slowly.

How have you never been to a Sephora? =o We even have them here in Wisconsin. Mmm, I used to LOVE Sephora. I pride myself on knowing who they were back when the girls first started their website and company and I remember signing up for their newsletter updates...they've come suuuchh a long way!

we dont have one in Bossier. We have a Pretty Cosmetics, which is our little Sephora...but they kicked me out because they thought I was stealing [it was a sponge I used on my face - couldnt find the trash so I put it in my pocket]. sooo Im not going there until I have an assload of money to wave in their faces. ;]
