| haha I just find it kind of shitty that I got obsessed with le disko in around the summer of.. 05? or fall of 05? idk, but I would play it non stop. Now all of a sudden, it's playing in commercials and everywhere! I was like, "WAIT A SECOND!" lmao. LIKE HEY THERE DELILAH. I get so pissed when I hear that song. XD | |

| it sucks when you know of a band waaaaay before they become like super huge and then when they do make it big, everyone is suddenly "their biggest fan!"
EX: I LOOOOOVED My Chemical Romance before The Black Parade and even before Sweet Revenge. I know each song, have every album, know about the band, the works.
But now, they're like this huge deal and it's like -_-' |

| Shouldn't you just be happy that a band you admired are making it big?
Last time I went to see the Dresden Dolls I was raging because the place sold out and it was filled with little kids. Then I stopped and thought about it. Thats good news for them. They're making the money they deserve then..

| Well yeah, on one hadn I'm like "YAY! FINALLY Their hard wark is paying off!" what pisses me off is the posers that claim to LOOOOOVe the band when in reality, they only know the most mainstream songs.
And when the band gets labeled all these stupid things just because of a music video concept or something. |

I'm just sick of the kiddies. =( I know this sounds really weird coming from a 14 year old (I'm gonna be 15 in 17 days, ok.. XD) but it's just really upsetting when you see a 12 year old who thinks they're so hXc because they're going to see a band like fob.

| But surely you can love a band when you've only heard some of their music? I'v eonly heard Hey There Delilah recently and I love it - Is it wrong to like a song when it gets popular? should I has sought it out when it was unpopular to like it?
Personally, I find the whole 'I heard it first' thing really stuck up and annoying. Just be happy that more people are buying their CDs and the artist will be happy to make more.
Just my two cents. I'm not saying your stuck up and annoying, i'm just saying that's how i find that POV.

| I don't see it as I heard it first, I just see it as "damn mainstream radio is slow." lmao
When I first heard it I sent it to a bunch of my friends and they wre like, "meh, its ok." It comes out on radio now and they're all OMFG THIS SONG IS EFFING AMAZING <333
what the hell is that? not saying that thats you, but thats what bugs me.

| It's getting used to hearing thigs a few times. I'll hate a song when it first comes out but after a few listens i always end up liking it. Mainstream radio is slow, but it's nothing to get uppity about in my opinion. actually, it's not, it's more that they didn't play them before because Rock music wasn't as fashionable as it is now, and now bands are rereleasing things, radio stations and mtv are playing it because it has a bigger fanbase.
IMO anyway. | |

| Ok, I agree with you, but I don't know how to make you understand..
Ok, so lets say you know this person with awful taste in music. you discover an awesome song. 2 years later, you still love the song, but then it starts playing on radio. so you're like "shit." then the person with awful taste likes it because it's on the radio and it's "cool" to like it. then you're like "UGH! SHITT!!" You know?
I don't know, it made sense in my mind. XD

| i downloaded plain white ts album aaaaages ago, before HTD was played here and i never really got round to listening to it (it was one of those "someone has them in their msn name, who are they? just dl album" moments)
and it wasnt until i heard HTD on the radio and loooved it that i took time to listen to their album and i loved all of the songs on it.
i think there can be cases of people jumping on a bandwagon (scuse the wording!) when a song gets popular like HTD but sometimes people could genuinely like a song thats out of their usual tastes and sadly that can be taken as them liking it because they think its cool.
