Thanks a lot girls!!

I'm not gonna lie I hurt. when he was doing the areas above my ankel bone it was just annoying but when he got to the bone it felt like a hot razor, and there were times hen it felt like the needle was in my bone. So, yeah definitely a sensitive area, but totally worth it. Toonie, I'm in love with swallows, I draw this one all the time, so my friend said that if I brought it in he would tattoo me so I did!!

Are the brown things around the edges part of it? Or just moles or bruises?

hahaha, it was his idea, not mine. i wanted to leave it at the outline. he said that it's going to fade a bit though! so that'll make it look a bit better.

I didn't know you could do such soft/shaded sorta things with tattoos. Lol I thought it was all just a big block of harsh colour.

I think it's just a matter of how hard the artist is pressing into the skin, Jade. Like my back tattoo has a cloudy-ish shading to it, and all Johnny did was go really lightly and go over the parts he wanted darker a few times.

that's what Joey did too! he went lighter in the shaded parts and he went over the outline a few times.

the shading is almost gone now. the ink was shit, so all i basically had to do was rip the skin off. i'll post pictures when it heals over.

Ewww my friend got a tattoo of a zipper over his appendix scar two weeks ago and it's all infected.... green and black and there's a hole in the end of it where you can see his skin.

So gross.

the cuts/skin on mine isn't infected, i don't think. i clean it, use polysporn and bandage it the same way i did with my knee when i had surgery.

Oh I wasn't saying it was hahah your post just triggered my memory and I was like OH YEAH GROSS GREEN TATTOO lol. Yesterday I made the mistake of asking about it so he came up to me while I was sitting down, tried to stick it in my face then decided he'd lie down on me with no hands so it was completely pressed on me lol (thank God he had the decency to lift his shirt down first!).

Just a quick update:
I had a minor allergic reaction to the red used on my swallow, so the ink didn't take nearly as well as it should have. Thankfully the artist is a dear friend and he promised me free touch ups for life and he already assessed the "damages" and the outlook is very good - but sadly there will be no more red in in my future, I guess red ink allergy is fairly common. I'm totally looking into hypoallergenic red tattoo inks now. I'll have to post a picture and let you guys see the outcome once everything has peeled away.

I'm sure I've mentioned Sam's mum's tattoo before but never got to post a picture.
I dunno...I just thought it was pretty cool.
