| im gonna have reallllyyyy bad tan lines this summer because i work in the sun in a shirt and sometimes a one piece bathing suit (we cant wear two pieces where i work)
anywayyys and i play tennis and everyoneee knows that tennis players have the WORST tan lines haha
so i was wondering
if i lay out in the sun with tanning oil like..in my bathing suit will it even out my tan lines?--theyre SO bad right now and gonna get worse--((my stomach and thighs and feet and back are SO white and the rest of me is super tan
if so, how long would i have to lay out and how often?
:] |

| I think if you kinda painted on a fake tanner, thta was fairly gradual that woul work. I've read how tos in magazines before so you could probably find one online. Real tanning is bad for you. | |

| Yeah I agree. If you're already in the sun so much, I don't think it's really wise to lie out there to try and tan up the rest of your body like that. Skin cancer is no fun. But yeah... those moisturisers that build up tanner slowly would be awesome I reckon. I mean I haven't tried them personally, but if they work then you can control where the tan goes and everything. |

| I have no tips for ya...LOL...I have two colours: red and white. Tanning is a no for me. I'm also petrified of skin cancer. So it's SPF 50 for me! | |

| i dont know if you have to wear like...certain stuff for tennis but maybe wearing a vest top or something might be better? and then when you're out in the summer, wearing a bikini might even it up a bit.
also those moisturisers that have a little fake tan in them are meant to be good and wont give you skin cancer. or if you have a little money to spare, go and get a spray tan. im sure if you asked them, they might be able to even it up with your other bits.

| oh yeahhh. a spray tan sounds muoy`perfecto. non painful, and yo skin gon be healthy! just try not to become orange. haha. all the other girls made groovy suggestions, too! but if you MUST tan in that ungodly sun, for one reason or another.... get a bikini with a strapless top. | |

| Kate, just cos skin cancer runs in your family doesn't mean you're gonna get it!!!! In fact, I think it means you should be extra precaucious to make sure you DON'T get it. Skin cancer doesn't look enjoyable... |

| My aunt and uncle got skin cancer, but only because they tanned all the time (their skin was nearly black). Prevention is what avoids skin cancer....you won't get it if you look after your skin. | |

| try the Jergens stuff! they were the first ones to add self tanners to their lotions [then everyone hadddd to copy], so try them first to see if you like. :]] | |

| god if people in your family a prone to it then for gods sake wear lotion at all opertunities. even when you're playing tennis you should wear it. then if you must be tanned, use fake.
totally agreeing with others about you having to be extra precautious and not just be "it's destined" because you dont know that and you'll really regret it...if you do end up with it you'll wish you'd been more careful so...do it.

| Skin cancer is not passed on through family genes. Now skin type is. And just because your mom, dad, etc. has it, doesn't mean you will. If you take care of your skin, then I can promise you, you will not get it. Skin cancer can't be passed on because it is not encoded in our DNA. ...Learned that in science, baby. |

| why don't you do it the other way round and avoid getting more tanned in those areas you don't want to, like using sunblocker stuff or whatever? i'm not too sure about that fake tan..personally i'm not a big fan of it idk most people i've seen it on had a strange orangeish skini colour afterwards .. AND the sunblocker thingy will also save you from skin cancer (x |
