MINERAL MAKEUP = LOVE

Just wondering if anyone else here is fascinated and in love with mineral makeup as much as me? I recently discovered it thanks to the suggestion of one of my friends and now I'm obsessed with ordering samples of it. I used to hate any kind of powdery eyeshadow but the colors are so vibrant and long lasting and most of them have glittery and shimmery aspects which I absolutely looooveee anything glittery so it makes me really happy. The prices are also soo reasonable for the little amounts you use, and the size you get even for "sample sizes". Also, mineral makeup seems to have a lot more benefits to keeping your skin healthy and they last a lot longer...It's also neat how they can give you different looks when wet/dry.

ah yes, there is one particular LC lady that raves about fyrinnae all of the time! *wink wink!*

Ive never been able to get FREE samples of things like that, so it does make me a little sad, since I'd like to try, haha.

I think I've gotten one free sample...a light plumish color, it was pretty. I always check my order to make sure everything matches up and then I realized it was a freebie since I couldn't find it on my list and everything else was accounted for.

Their stuff is sooo fabulous and well priced though. I don't know what I'd do without it but I have bought SO many sample colors now that I feel like I'll never have time to use them all! LOL.

And pureluxe is awesome about "Freebie samples"...they just had a special awhile ago "to keep themselves busy" where for every 5 you bought or something, you got one free. I actually had purchased the day before the sale but emailed them and they gave me 2 free samples (which is what I would've gotten) anyways. So awesome! I love buying from smaller companies like that too.

They're by a company called Mahya...They have like every color in the rainbow plus colors you'd never think of

Ohh thats awesome!! Make sure to take pics & let us know how they work. What colors did you order btw?? If you wet them it makes the color reallllly pop and make sure to put down a primer (I use the roll stick on Fyrinnae, it works really good)

but anyways Mahya?? never heard of that brand but I'm going to google it right nowwww and probably end up spending more money I don't have LOL.
edit-Hmm did you buy yours off their site? It really annoys me how it is flash or whatever and scrolls so fast, plus I didn't see how you could buy them off the computer. Maybe I'm just reaaaaallly blonde today lol.

aaah I'm SO in love with fyrinnae...i have around 20 and they are they only eyeshadows i use now...What colours would you recommend Brittni?

Same here, it's basically all I use!

Umm, it depends really. What colors do you like? If you want something glittery, all of their City Glam's are beautiful. I absolutely love their Arcne Magic line, too.

Red wise - "Bite Me"
Blue- "Dragon Tears" is amazing
Brown- "Sake and Sashmimi" works soo lovely...
I have pics in the makeup photos where I used brown/black which used that brown, and the blue eyes I posted the other day used that blue with a few others.

nah i haven't tried pureluxe...

A lot of those colours are on my list to get next...eg neo universe, fujiro, snow bunny, mirrors etc. Thanks for your feedback!

No problem, sweetie! FYI - Neo Universe, I'd say, is my current favorite. The color is sooo gorgeousssssss and I love using it for a shadow it looks really sexay mixed with black and some killer lashes!

and if you have any suggestions, let me know. I need good pinks that will make my green eyes pop - or anything sultry!

I don't have any pinks as such, but i loveeeeee bastet, njordr and fool's gold...and sluagh...and as for brights i like saltwater taffy and aztec gold (though this is more bold then bright..)

I got mine in the mail yesterday! Tried 'em out and I love 'em... I'll post pics when I can.

I ordered from pureluxe and I goooot... Sunny Side Up, Bloom, Electrify and Ouch! They're all seriously wonderful... real bright with just the right amount of shimmer!

It was my first time trying that sort of thing "wet," though, and I've got a lot of practice yet! I'm excited. Hee. And I'm definitely going to get some more in the future. Love it.

I just purchased the Pure Lux samples! Their regular eraser powder, I LOVE IT. I think its doing something on my pale face.

Their shadows are great too. Wish I had money to go buy the non samples. @_@

and I don't think I'd ever buy non-samples. PINK ICE is my FAVE color by Pure Luxe - it makes my green eyes realllly pop but anyways, I'd never buy anything bigger than samples (like I have 3 pink ice's lol) because I'm too afraid I'll knock over the whole thing. I did that yesterday buttt thank god it was just a white bonnebell one! Razz

LOL, yeah. I think like that too but with mineral makeup you can get so much use out of it by using such little! I'm always tapping the brush very slightly and everything to make sure I can save any bit and use only what I have to. =P My sample of Pink Ice has lasted me like...4 months at least.

Well, I use all of my samples every day that I wear makeup...but I think I was going strong with using the pink about twice a week for a good while. I've backed off now but yeah, have you tried using a sifter? You can buy special little containers that have sifters...maybe it'd make it easier for you to save some, cause really you don't need much.

I've compiled an enormous list of fyrinnae shadows that I want. My first lot is gonna include 4 city glams and 2 brushes, and that's gonna put me back $41 haha!
Still, I'm in love with fyrinnae atm. Jess gave me 3 colours for my birthday last year, and I've been using them heaps.
