Okay so I've been looking for the best damn epic metal songs ever and was wondering what your suggestions would be.

Some of my picks are:
Rime of the Ancient Mariner - Iron Maiden
Heaven and Hell - Black Sabbath
The Dark Ride - Helloween
Ghost Love Score - Nightwish
Cemtary Gates - Pantera
Child in Time - Deep Purple
Holy Wars - Megadeth
A Light In The Black - Rainbow
Consign to Oblivion - Epica
And Then There Was Silence - Blind Guardian
BlackWater Park - Opeth
Through Fire & Flames - DragonForce

I think it's a pretty freaking sweet list. If you're alright with using bands twice, I think Hallowed Be Thy Name should be on there too. It may not be as long as Rime of the Ancient Mariner but it has all of the epic.

Beyond the Realms of Death - Judas Priest. Alot of songs by Dream Theatre would work well in there too, but I don't know which ones to piiick.

Sonata Arctica - My Selene (I'm biased, this is like my favourite song). Orrr maybe My Land, that's awesome, too.

I love Dream Theatre! I think Metropolis Pt.1 & Pull Me Under are pretty damn epic but they have so many good ones!
And I actually did already have Hallowed Be Thy Name on there as well as Manowar's Battle Hymn but I can't think of any more!
Damn brain not cooperating >.<
