Claire's Accessories- returns?

I bought earrings from Claire's to wear to the ball but I have now discovered that they become almost completely invisible with my hair behind them cus they're black.
Can I return them? Or do they have to be faulty? I don't think I'd wear these if I kept them so I may have to make them faulty..

i wouldnt have thought so...most places that sell earrings say you cant...

every shop that sells them pretty much says you cant for reasons of hygiene. theyve pretty much been "inside" you and you could have infections or stuff so they cant re-sell them.

Yeah, i agree with keeks - earrings are usually a no-returns unless they're faulty for hygiene reasons.

You people in the States have way better returns policies - like you can take back makeup if you think it sucks. No way could we do that here unless we were allergic or had been sold the wrong product. Bleh!

You could... somehow break them in a kinda not-so-obvious place and then say you didn't see it when you bought them and you want your money back or something?

Yeah I was thinking about doing that. It has little bits that dangle off of it so I could take one off or something..

Actually I'm looking at them now and they are nice so maybe I'll just keep them. I haven't bought earrings in ages so I'll have two new pairs anyway.
