since this hasn't been updated in aeons, what about a monthly/several monthly theme of mac act charts/advertisement inspired makeup?

wouldn't that just be the same as the normal stuff? or at least reasonably similar.
in the past, the point in the monthly theme was that it was something that would be quite outlandish and not normal everyday stuff.
the reason i think this hasn't been updated would be that the theme is perhaps not overly inspiring. i've seen previous themes we've had be a lot more successful. Also this was started in October and hasn't been updated since. I know that perhaps Kendra hasn't noticed, been busy or been asked to change it because it wasn't her that started it.

I wasn't trying to attack the fact that it hadn't been updated...
I was just thinking that some mac charts are wicked, like with puzzles and halloween and even the latest colour ready release photo, which is totally wicked and inspiring. And then in some magazine editorials, there's some really out there and inspiring makeup...
It was just a suggestion...

im only trying to discuss the idea. as ive said before, i try to look at things on the forum more objectively than just going "yeh thats a good idea! lets do it now!!"
i dont know if you think im being pissy or something because of my comments, i'm trying to discuss it. we've spoken about having a constant theme before i think and IIRC people weren't too keen on the idea before and that's when it was decided to have the monthly theme.

It hasn't been updated because for the last three themes, every one jumps up and says 'cool!' but no one really posts in it. *shrugs*

I've definitely noticed, but I don't think there's enough interest to keep doing them. The general activity of the forum has dropped HEAPS since August or so last year. Even the make up pictures thread is hardly ever posted in, whereas we'd be going through a page a day at one point.

Kendra's right. i blame the credit crunch.

i think the problem is the forum needs the mods posting, and i know that at least with me and a few others, we don't have time to post as much, so other members aren't encouraged to post so much. more activity on the board = more members = more chances to have threads like this.

well is there a way we could encourage more posting?

i totally agree with kendra. this was the case with the one on LC. it was fine for the first few months when everyone is really keen but it slowly (or pretty quickly) fizzles out and everyone has ideas and says they'll do it but then they dont.

ive noticed a huge drop in activity and the only place thats sure to get it is the happy/ranting topics. i know im a bit busier with uni and stuff, like a lot of people but i still come on here but i cant conjure up posts so theres not much to reply to.
