| So I assume you all know how parts of my hair are pink. Well they've faded a considerable amount, and I wanted my natural hair color back. So I went out and bought some dye that was almost the exact shade of the rest of my hair.
I decided to not bleach the pink out and just dye over it. 30 minutes later I'm staring at light pink hair and the rest was lightened a few shades and turned gold-ish.
I'm going to go pick up some more hairdye tomorrow. Does anybody have any ideas what to do to fix this?!

| lol i made a similar mistake recently but my hair had been blue... it turned green. try washing it with dishwashing detergent stuff a few times to kill the pink, and then dye over with a darker colour
if all else fails run crying to your hairdresser (which is what i did to get advice haha) |

| Also, leave your dye in longer then 30 min, I usually leave mine in for an hour-two hours. | |

| Oh wow Jayme. That's a long time, but seeing as your hair hasn't fallen out yet...haha. I'll try that next time, and thanks Alexa.
I'm not so upset anymore about the gold-blonde color, but the pink is so ugly mixed with it. I just want it gone! Do you think I could just bleach it out and then dye over that? Or would my hair fall out? haha

| Well... I wouldn't leave BLEACH in for hours, but long enough for it to start working, and I also wouldn't bleach your hair everyday... lol I bleached mine like three times in a week, and it totally sucked, my hair was sooooo dry. | |

| All right, so maybe I'll bleach it and then dye over it.
I'm leaving in a bit for the store, so I'll let you girls know how this all turns out.

| When I bleach my roots more often than not some gets into the pink and seriously, it comes out in about 5 min. Just use something like blondissima. Blonde hair dye isn't the same thing. | |

| All right, so I went to the Sally beauty store near us and asked for a bit of help. I ended up buying all kinds of stuff. Sensitive Scalp 20-Volume Creme Developer ColorFix - to remove all the pink Color Brilliance Permanent Creme Hair Color - in Medium Blonde and I picked up some gloves and a few applicator bottles. So right now I'm sitting here with my second go-around of the ColorFix stuff. So far, it has taken minimal amounts of pink out. I'm very frustrated. I'm going to go rinse it off right now, so I'll edit soon. ---EDIT--- IT DID NOTHING. ARRRGHHHH! I am so mad right now. I have some actual hair bleach, but my mum won't let me put it on because she says my hair is going to fall out. What do you guys think? Seeing as that stupid ColorFix didn't work at all, would bleach be ok to use for a little bit? | |

| I thought the whole hair-falling-out thing was a myth..until mine actually did..well it didn't fall out, it just got really weak and a chunk of it just snapped off..so my hair is crazy uneven now..
If I were you I'd admit defeat and go to a hairdressers..just to be on the safe side.

| Well, I never actually put the bleach in, and we called the store back to see what they recommended to do about it. They just told me to dye over it, and it would be fine.
Which it basically is. My hair is darker now, but not by much. Most of the pink is gone too!
SUCCESS!
Thanks for all your help girls. =]
