| ok i have a jewellery question so am casting up my old topic. i was fiddling with my nose stud, which i haven't changed since i got it done, and i accidentally took it out. so it's been...5-6months since i got it done so i decided to change it. i bought 2 studs today. one is an L shape which is fine. the one i had in from being pierced had a little twist in it, like this but the other one...im kinda thrown by. it just looks like a straight bar but with a little bump on the end. kind of like this but the bump looks really small! im just...confused by it...assurance? | |

| Hmm...normally if you wear straight stem jewelery in your nose its like a labret with a disc on the end. or you can bend the jewelery to fit best. But is that bioplast? Because thats quite flexible, so I don't know that it'd stay in.. But if its sold it must work to some extent. I wouldn't want to go sticking O rings up my nose or anything.. I'm not really the authority on it I'm afraid. Nose piercing is one I've never had or wanted. Sorry! | |

| the one with the bump on the end are a pain in the ass, man! the bump is there so that the stud won't come out of your nose... i mean it. i couldn't even get mine out!! i had the break the stud with a pair of plyers and take it out through the inside. it hurt worse than getting it pierced.
i've never used one, but i've heard that the ones you can bend are the best.

| I had one of those too, and it hurt like hell trying to pull it out. The corkscrew ones are way better, the only thing I found was occasionally the end would poke out so I was always adjusting it, I guess you could always trim the end with pliers if it was too long though. | |

| well the straight stem on i have isnt the plastic stuff, i just couldn't find a better picture.
it didnt exactly cost much so im not hugely bothered if i dont wear it or something.
i know what you mean about the end being a bit long jessie! my parents were constantly going "you've got something...oh wait it's your piercing" for a while when i first got it.
the L shaped one is a really small little black star which is cute! the L bit is maybe slightly long but because its black, its less noticeable.

| Yeah I guess it would just look like a long nosehair sticking out of your nose I`m sure you could just trim the end, just as long as you get the cut straight. | |

| ok so i had an L shaped bar in my nose. but i was giving it a move around and cleaning gunk of it and it got bent and snapped a bit. i was like shit! cos i'd basically broken it. i moved it a little more to try to fix it and it broke off. i had to run into town and went to a couple of shops and the only thing they had were nose bones bad i know but i didnt want my piercing to close up and so i just got it. ive got a spiral one now that i bought today but im worried about trying to get this thing out. its not been in too long, maybe a few weeks but it feels like its gonna be tough to get out. im gonna have a shower and try to open it up a bit but does anyone have any advice?! i know they're bad. i think i might need to call the piercer and get him to do it. | |

| um...i dont really think there's much we can do...
just relax and try to ease it in. if not put your old one back in and go to a piercer.
