Cool Matte Mousse 8hr Shadow(rimmel)

Ok so i bought this today thinking ti would be like a cream eyeshadow.
mousse apparently does not equal cream!

i bought it in the shade 'cool' which is a pretty blue gold colour

but i can't seem to figure out how to use it!
when i use my finger it goes on blotchy and icky
and i ain't even comtemplating using my beloved trusty eyeshadow brush in it..

unless thats the only way
would a sponge applicator work?



here are some swatches:

top left is the shadow by itself, next to that is the shadow with steel blue and mac violet over it, down the bottom is NYX pearl stuff and mystery colour, napoleon loose shadow in scream blue and a mystery bronze!

taklon concealer brush.

As long as you wash it off before it goes yuck, your eye shadow brush should pick it up and work well. If it came with a sponge applicator, you may as well try it. Otherwise, would assume a brush would be teh bestest.

I'm surprised your finger doesn't work! I've never used a mousse eye shadow though, so, there you go

well my finger does work, its just impossible to not get more than what i wanted x.x i end up with 80s eyeshadow!

Hmm...I haven't heard many good things about mousse eyeshadow..Something about it all smudging into the crease and being generally gross.

i officially hate this stuff.

just try everrry single idea you can think of
because if they dont work and you end up ruining it
it wont matter since you dont like it

likeee, try the finger method
try a q-tip

OORRR do the finger method then clean up witha q tip?

i tried:
concealer brush
regular eyeshadow brush
finger
q tip
more fingers
tiny tiny eyeshdoaw brush

A LIP BRUSH

and then i glared at the container for a good half a minute before removing my eye makeup and putting it away ahaha

Yea I tried a mousse shadow once, I tried everything known to man to get it to work, I even tried using it as a base.

I finally just threw it away.

itd be ok if i wanted to use it as foundation, cos if i use a shitload of it i can make it even. but uh.. do you know anyone who wants bluey gold skin?
