| lol currently reading...NEW MOON!
Finished Twilight this morning, after starting it...Saturday night?! teehee. I saw them on 3 for 2 in the book shop so I went in and bought them as I didn't know when I'd see my friend to borrow them again.
I LOVE Catcher in the Rye. Yum.
I bought Crime & Punishment and am planning on reading that after the Stephanie Meyers stuff. Also want to read the Master and the Margarita.
if anyone else is on goodreads then add me

| Kiki is right, Chuck...I believe his last name starts w/ a P.
I've also just started in on the Twilight series, and being home sick for the past two days means I'm about half way into the third book. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Now I understand why my sister talks about them so much.

| I just read Yakuza Moon by Shoko Tendo.
It's a true story about Shoko's life of sex, drugs, abuse and gangs in Japan. I loved it! But then, I'm obsessed with Japan, and reading about gangs.

| I just finished reading Nation, a new book by Terry Pratchett, and I really enjoyed it. I love Terry's writing anyway (it's so quirky). I know he's one of those authors that people tend to have a love/hate relationship with - I think the sense of humour has something to do with it?
Well, it's not set on the Discworld, but a parallel universe to ours. I'll link with some info from the Pratchett website:
Mau is the only one left after a giant wave sweeps his island village away. But when much is taken, something is returned, and somewhere in the jungle Daphne—a girl from the other side of the globe—is the sole survivor of a ship destroyed by the same wave.
Together the two confront the aftermath of catastrophe. Drawn by the smoke of Mau and Daphne's sheltering fire, other refugees slowly arrive: children without parents, mothers without babies, husbands without wives—all of them hungry and all of them frightened. As Mau and Daphne struggle to keep the small band safe and fed, they defy ancestral spirits, challenge death himself, and uncover a long-hidden secret that literally turns the world upside down. . . .
I really recommend people to give it a try, even if you're not a Pratchett fan - It was definately a thoughtful and well-written novel. It had alot of thoughts about various belief systems, which I thought was very interesting.
Yeah, I loved it! |

| Just finished World War Z. Yeah, it's about zombies. It was far better than I expected it to be; it's written like a report and it plays out like a documentary. It was... amazing. | |

| I'm reading a book called Adverbs by Daniel Handler, the guy behind Lemony Snicket and it's...amazing. He takes an adverb and then writes a few pages of story on it, all about love. It's just...so good. As my friend said, the writing is so effortless. | |

| The Perks of Being a Wallflower like, ACTUALLY changed my views on life. It had such a lasting impact on me. I loved it. So much. I think every girl on this forum should take the time to read it... it's short, but amazing. It's a quick read - just a few days. DO IT. I swear. | |

| I picked up the Other Boleyn Girl on Sunday when at dad's.. it's dangerous going over there, he's across the street from a Borders! But...I'm nearly done, haven't been able to put it down willingly, except to start sketching concept ideas for my ren faire dress next year. I'll probably end up getting the rest of the author's books, I love historical fiction like this. | |
