There's pics of characters from the new movie - thought it deserved a new topic.

Luna - she's alright...got the hair etc but i dont think she looks mental enough. i kinda think her hair should be lighter...like white blonde and all spooky looking and whispy...and her eyes are big and wide enough for me...but I'll believe it.

Weasley's - lol fred and george's hair is a bit odd but ron is as cute as ever! i'm re-reading this book atm and all I can image is Sam when I think of the Weasley's and his brothers fit a couple of the others

Tonks - NOT HAPPY! She doesn't look at all like I imagined! She's too...I see her as kind of...elfish...with a cute pink bob (not purple...) and sort of cute and playful. This actress isn't doing it for me as Tonks.

Umbridge - not on that site but she's on the imdb photos. I don't think she's toadlike enough...she's not too bad...as with Luna, I could believe it...maybe it's just because I'm reading the book and have this super clear picture in my mind...

So yeh thats just me. But im still excited about it!

Yeah, Imelda Staunton(?) is actually quite awesome. But you're right about Luna and Tonks.. Luna isn't Loony looking enough and Tonks is just not right. Doesn't she decide in the book that purple makes her look peaky? Gah, stupid movie people. Don't fix what isn't broken!

i know a girl who would be perfect for luna. she's mental as well and his like waist length white blonde hair. she so should have auditioned when newsround did them...

sometimes i find if you havent read the books in a while you go "hmm thats orite as the character..." but im not accepting it! grrr. unhappy about tonks. i mean...she has that cute name and i just imagine her as a kind of cockney pixie with bright pink hair and stuff, so she stands out against all the dark stuff but she just sort of fits in...her hair isnt standy-outy.

I wonder sometimes if the directors ever actually read the books.. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it.

and yeh i dont think she was on the site because those pics come from the official posterbook and i dont think they'd have pics of death eaters because tis all pro-harry pee and whatnot. and maybe kids wouldnt want pics of Voldy and his bitches on their walls so theres no point.

Yeah I don't like the idea of Harry & Ginny being together but I didn't like the idea of Harry being with Cho either.
But I guess it's because Ginny kinda has an idea of what Harry's going through after her lil' incident in
The Chamber of Secrets that lead Rowling to choose her as Potter's love interest.
That and the fact that she reminds him of his mother but that's just icky.

As to whether I'd be on Voldemort or Dumbledore's side I'd have to say Dumbledore.
Voldemort is like the Hitler of the Wizarding world and that's not cool.
Power should NOT be placed in the hands of one individual because then you get tyranny.

A lot of the characters in the movies dont match the images I had in my head while reading the book...I totally imagined Professor Lupin to be...more attractive?

oh reading the book id let james potter, lupin and sirius sex me up but in the movies...no thanks! creepy. i mean...they seem quite old in the movies but i sort of imagine them as late thirties, rugged...sexy...werewolfy...i mean like, a bit i just read last night was talking about how sirius was pushing his hair out of his face and i was like "mmm" but in the movies...ick!

They all look OK. Nothing too horrible. I am still excited about it! That might just be one LOOK of Tonks, she changes, so maybe it won't be too bad.
