| So for the dance that I'm going to be in for my spring dance concert, we're looking for a good piece of music to dance to. At the moment, we're using Grace Kelly by Mika. The girl who's choreographing wants something similar - that's bouncy and upbeat. Our dance teacher doesn't like too many words, and we feel like Grace Kelly has too many words and it would just be distracting...
If you girls know of anything similar to Mika or anything upbeat like that, please let me know. I tried Pandora, but it's not being of much help. Rawr.
Thanks girls!
PS. If you don't know the song Grace Kelly, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiWsWzUgcXE | |

| maybe 'not falling apart' by maroon 5? actually no thats not very upbeat at all hmm lol rasputin by boney m? i danced to that for ballet alot of earth wind and fire is upbeat (eg boogie wonderland or lets groove) 'hello' by the cat empire? i always thought 'so sorry to say' by celldweller would be good for say, contemporary dance, but its not upbeat at all the suffering by coheed and cambria is fast ish but not upbeat? perhaps something by damone? though for dance that might not work. im not obsessed i swear to god! cherry lips by garbage? hit me up by gia farrell? ooh, billy jean by MJ? im not sure if its what you're looking for exacty but i always thought 'such great heights' by the postla service could be fun to choreograph something to puretone- 'totally addicted to bass' that's all i could think of at the moment you could also look for an instrumental version of the song |

| I instantly thought of "Ten Speed Of Gods Love and Burial" by Coheed, for some reason...
Look for the instrumental of "How The Other Half Lives" by the broadway cast of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Also, try "Forget About the Boy." There's a light, airy bit of piano in the original version that I love.
"Cartoon Heroes" by Aqua?
The Pipettes may have instrumentals, but I highly doubt it; its a shame...
Hope that helps some. | |

| Hmm... some of these are awesome, it's just finding instrumentals that's nearly impossible. Especially since I'm cheap and don't want to pay. Thanks for the suggestions! Keep 'em coming, too! | |

Bodies by Little Birdy.Good Time by Leroy - hmmm actually maybe not upbeat enough. What We Become - Kisschasy. Reminder by Kisschasy - not many words at all in this one, and upbeat.Bling (Confession of a King) by The Killers. Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet.Cold Hard Bitch by JetWine Red by The Hush Sound - I actually reckon this one would be really good to do a dance to. Momentum by The Hush Sound. Tick Tick Boom by The Hives. My Moves Are White (White Hot, That Is) by Cobra Starship. Kiss My Sass by Cobra Starship. Juicy by Better Than Ezra. All 'Cause Of You by The 88 - this one would probably be really good, too, it gets AWESOME half way through. YAY! I love music. And I bolded the Aussie bands |
