Cold water, and add about a half cup of vinegar. Don't worry, your clothing won't smell like vinegar. Oh--and turn them inside out. It keeps the dye inside the jeans, and keeps them from fading quicker. I have a pair of black jeans I want to dye to make them blacker (they're faded because I didn't use vinegar). My roomie is the dye queen, so I'll ask her opinion. | |

| Most jeans are made of mostly cotton, so I couldn't forsee it not working. I would leave it in the dye for longer than it says though. And move it around lots. | |
