| Arg. Why do every one of their songs sound the same? Like its the same song with slightly different lyrics. Bands like that make my boyfriends band cry.. It's not fair that people with no talent are doing better than decent music.. *huff* | |

| Maybe, Sarah, sometimes you shouldn't be quite so catty, because there are dozens of musicians better than the shit that gets in the charts, singers much better than whatevers at number 1, who never get noticed.
it's not about talent, it's about being a product.
think. about. that. | |

| I know. Just because someone is in the charts doesn't automatically mean they're good. Same with just because someone is undiscovered or aren't famous, doesn't mean they're shit.
If you're gonna make a post in music or ANYWHERE on this forum, you have to accept that people are not going to agree with you all of the time Sarah, and you should RESPECT their opinions and not be rude about it. If you can't accept that not everyone will always agree with you, then please, feel free to leave the forum.

think. about. that. I totally agree. I know a ton of super talented musicians who haven't "made it big". Because they WON'T CONFORM. Being a product is what the music industry is about, uniqueness and talent don't matter anymore. And Sarah, there was no need to be so rude about it. Think before you type.

| I don't want to cause offense, because I fully agree with what you've all said about talented musicians and such. I want to have a career in music and it honestly is all about being in the right place at the right time.
Sarah may have been catty and rude, agreed, but there's no reason to make her feel worse/encourage the same behaviour again by retorting in the same manner.
Just my two cents. |

| Just wanna cover my ass considering bitchiness/rudeness has been brought up - I posted the second part of my post in my admin shoes. I know occasionally people forget that I am admin and I've been asked to mention it if I'm posting as admin on my account. Just making that clear!
I wasn't being rude; one of the rules I posted in the Introductions section says that you have to respect other peoples opinions and I felt the need to highlight that point considering where this post seemed to be headed.
um..just reminding everyone of this...seeing as admin stuff's been mistaken for rudeness before.

| Kiki, don't worry, I wasn't aiming my point at you, or anyone in particular.
I just hoped that by posting, it would alert people that this hasn't gone unnoticed - ie, it could be prone to causing a bad atmosphere.
The main thing is that everyone has equal rights to respect and opinions and if people disagree, not to get rude about it. It's just one of those things that happen on message boards - things get taken the wrong way, it's normal.
But other than that, I love coming to this forum because everyone is so friendly! So when somebody gets a bit flighty, it's more noticable!
Please don't take my post the wrong way, it was only meant in a friendly manner.
Sorry for going off topic also! |

| Oh don't worry Jess, i just really hate it when someone's disrespectful like that, i wouldn't normally have said anything particularly catty back but, well, i'm unpredictable! ha ha.
and you're right, it is all abuot being in right place at the right time!

| Yeah. The only reason you would have for calling gill rude is because her opinion is different, not because she isn't respecting yours.
And they're all right, you know.
Look at Macy Gray.
Wtf. |
