| so she's turning 18 this coming sunday, and she decided today that she's going to get a tattoo on the day of - as SOON as she turns 18 and it's legal. she booked an appointment at some random boutique in Boston, and she's getting the outline of an elephant on her left shoulder-area. i'm nervous. i feel that she should really wait and think about it a little more. i mean, she doesn't have a good reason to get an elephant - it's nothing significant. i just don't want her to regret it in a few years, i feel like she will. ugh. idk. sorry, just had to get this out there. | |

| an elephant? that is a little odd, i guess, unless it's a really artsy, well designed elephant. hmmm...i'm not sure, you could talk to her, about maybe something more special in a less showy place? |

| yeah, i try to talk to her, but shes always like, "GINA SHUT UP I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO GET!!!!"
and she shuns at me for my tattoo idea. when i get older - certainly NOT when i just turn 18, but later in my life - i want to get the initials of my two uncles who passed away tattooed in pretty cursive letters on the insides of my ankles. i think that's a good, hidden place, and it really does mean something to me. ugh.

| well, if she is so adamant, maybe she just needs to be allowed the mistake. i'm sure someday that elephant could turn into a pretty flower or something. |

| if she wont listen to you and hasnt thought it through then it's her own fault and if she regrets it, she's noone to blame but herself.
maybe she does have a reason? its just...personal or something.
but if she wont listen or take advice, it's her mistake to make really.

| you should probably just casually ask why an elephant, of all things.. lol.. i see why you're nervous for her, but only she can change her mind. so i guess you just have to support her. she can always have it removed (black ink is easiest) |
