This lipgloss, I think it's Rimmel or some other drugstore thingeh, one end colour one end clear

and I can get it for £1 because there's this stall at the market in Uxbridge which sells the testers that were never actually put on the shelves for discount prices
I got a polish from there for 50p yesterday, it's AWESOME

I got the MAC Heirlooms: 4 Face Brushes. I HAD to get them!! 4 brushes + 1 cute bag for $62?! It was a steal. I'm so happy with them, they're wonderful. I was sooo sick of sponges (they're gross and soak up all your foundation!! ) and they make my Mark brushes feel like Dollarama brushes. They're really pretty too, with their gold handles and shizz.

Should i get the MAC Heirlooms eye brushes? Omgomgomg.....I want them so bad...but i don't know if i NEED the brushes....can any of you MAC using girls help me out? The set has:

#217SE Blending Brush
#212SE Flat definer brush

I can get the whole set for around US$67 (which is roughly AUD$82 i think...).

I did a rough estimate and the the five brushes you mentioned would be about $50 american. generally you dont really need a tonne of brushes, but it depends on what look you're going for and how much you'd use them every day.

Hmm...for some reason those Japonesque brushes don't appeal to me. They don't seem to have as much variety as I would like. I just just wondering if the brushes in the mac set are useful brushes. But thanks for your help puffy!

I have the full sized 217 and it's wonderful!! I've used it everytime I put on eyeshadow since the day I got it so it's very useful. I don't have any of the others in it though.

How do you use the 217? Is it for blending or sweeping e/s on or patting it on?

It's for blending, it's also great to use in the crease and I use it to highlight too.

Oh believe me, I usually am too, but it's just i already know mac is good, plus i can get it easily from this ebay seller (and don't worry...i checked...its authentic!) and Japonesque will be harder for me to get.

really? I'd expect Japonesque to be on ebay, then again, its sort of an untapped market, except in the world of makeup artists. Paul Starr swears by the lash curler!

yay!! the nyx stuff i ordered finally came today!! I don't know why i picked out so much glittery and random things. And why do I need another black lipstick?well,whatever.I haven't tried the glitter pallettes yet but i've heard great things about them.

Well I bought more Milani shadows, cuz they went down to 90 cents!!! 8-) I boughttttt Atlantis and a white one, but I can't remember the name.
It was my sis's Bday(who is now 31) party and all the girls in the fam had "special" make overs... Oh man, it was so 80's....

is the NYX stuff nice?
I mean I know it's cheap and all, but is it cheap and goooooood?

NYX is a GREAT cheap brand. I personally hate their pencil eyeliners because they dont last long on my watery eyes, but if you dont have that problem, they go on very nice and smooth and dark.

karina, neutrogena is a great brand. and I personally love pond's cold cream, especially, well, cold! it doesnt clog my pores, and since my skin is dry except for my t-zone, it works very well.

Jayme, i really like most of the Nyx products.I think that their shadows are nicely pigmented for being so cheap.Their lipsticks are very good also, i just tried on the Black Label one and oh my gosh does it feel good on the lips!it's very pretty too.I like their nailpolish as well,and they have so many colors to choose from.You should try it :-)

oh karina, how's the lip plumper?
I think the aquafina gloss has plumped my lips because they've gotten bigger [!!!],
but if that NYX is good, then I'll go to my hair store to buy some...hahaa

umm... i ordered stuff from their official 'closing down sale' likeee a month ago and posted the stuff on page 5.
it hasn't officially closed yet, it closes on the 24th but most of the stuff is gone on the site and it's all of the crappy colours left!

the stuff i bought above was actually out of TKMaxx (you guys call it TJMaxx don't you? i wonder why? straaaange!)!
I was in there looking for some kitschy storage boxes for my room but then saw all the Pout sets in boxed and got wayyyyy too excited and ended up buying a lot of that and forgetting about everything else.
Seriously I was like hoarding all of the stuff! A woman who worked there came over and asked me why...!

The prices worked out even better than the official sale though. Like, in a set for £10 you got a flushblush and a blush/bronze - which is pretty much the same price as the (sale) flushblush on its own. So I got 2 of those sets and another bigger set for £20 which had the lipstick, lipgloss, lip plump, lip liner and bustier thing which was worth about £40 in the pout sale.

does that all make sense? I'm confusing myself with the rrp's and the sale prices and the tkmaxx prices!

it's a shame you didn't get to try anything though, i think the flushblush's would have been amazing on your skin as they're bright, but sheer, and are really buildable - they totally have that 'glow from within' quality.
plus all the packaging is so cute - who wouldn't want it just for that!?
