- I'd really rather we do away with this goddamn sizing thing and just go buy our waist or hip measurement. Just makes more sense to me.
And as a "fat" girl, you really have no idea how amazing it is to feel like you can fit into a smaller size. But it is ridiculous how much they've changed. I dunno, I'm pretty sensitive about this, but I just feel like until you've been "larger" for a while, you really aren't in a position to comment about it.
Thats the way it used to be. A 26" waist was a size 6, 28" a size 8 and so on... And are you saying I shoudn't complain because I can't find the right size being on the smaller side? Because I never meant blah, I don't want to be a size 1. I'm just commenting on the fact that none of the store brands are true to size anymore. Being in the Fashion industry this really bugs me. And I also know I'm not really a size 1 and I think its stupid.

- But Kendra, you are right, I think it is also to accomodate the widening population.
I agree thats probably why, but I think that if theyr'e going to do that then they should also offer a -1 and -2, because yes, they are accomadating larger sizes but theyr'e also completely cutting out their smaller customers. And I dunno about where you guys live but here I do see alot of smaller girls too.

| Yeah, most things are too big for me. Like, I LOVE H&M, but most of their shirts are just huge on me. It makes me sad. | |

| wow...are you a twig? our h&m dont really have large sizes, they stop at a UK 14/US 12(ocassionally they have 16s) and I'm a UK10 and the 14 isnt that huge on me. but maybe thats the one i go to...i know the posher one (as in doesnt carry all the "young trend" and divided stuff) had a larger section. | |

| I have the opposite issue here. Size 14 is too small for me at "regular" stores, but size 14 at plus sized stores are too big. The reasoning is that (up here, at least) Plus stores offer "normal" sizes. Now a size 14 is often too small for my skinny sister.
I wish I lived where you guys do, so I can buy pants! LOL!

| exactly...if i were to buy a 22 at wal*mart it would be tiny, but a 22 at torrid is sometimes too big there's also the difference between junior fit and missy fit which has been around a lot longer than vanity sizing, so you have to that into consideration |
