what do i do with it?

i have nooooo idea what to make

i make jewellery with mine.
like big stars or hearts to put on a necklace.
you could make whatever you wanted...like your own personal jewellery set.
i bought mine because i wanted this necklace id seen someone wearing but couldnt find anywhere. it was a big heart with the centre cut out.
you can always print shapes off the computer to cut around.

Make an interesting teapot! Well, I don't know, that's the first thing that came into my head. Or you could make a funky bangle/bracelet-thing. There's endless possibilities, I just can't think of any, haha.

some of it is a bit pants because i didnt have proper tools and crap but ok!

what do i do with it when im done making the shape?

bake them in the oven!
your packet should tell you at what temperature.

The clay can be bake in a regular or toaster oven at a temperature of 275º F or 130º C.

I burned some of mine so be careful.
It's like 10mins or so and it hardens more as it cools.

If you want to keep it nice and shiney, buy some varnish.

Also remember if you wanna put it on earrings or a necklace, make the things for that now.
If it's a necklace or flat earring shape, just put a hole with a needle and you can put a hoop thing in it later but if its like my 'shrooms, you need to put a headpin thing through them but twist it when it's hardened or you'll mess it up.

yeh it probably will.

the stalk of the shroom?! i just carefully put it on and pushed it together a wee bit. it'll stick when it hardens together.

and you can get crazy jewellery bits from craft shops.
mine has bags of like 20 or like 100 and its only like 4 or 5 dollars for a big bag. (ha i even converted for you!) they sell earring hooks and necklace closures and the little (jump?) ring things and headpins and all that jazz!
or some specialist stores that sell beads and stuff where you can buy a scoop of beads for 50p or something, they sell these things singley for a couple of pence (pence=like cents ) each if you just need a couple

haha i sat and shaped those buy hand and then placed them on.
i fucked up so many of the mushrooms!
it took me ages to do my first pair, then i burnt them.
but it got easier.

up close mine have finger prints on them

but yeh if you wanna make things more often...invest in a cheap plastic mat (i tape mine to my desk), a plastic kids rolling pin and a little playdough shaper. you can get lots of little gadgets for it. my aunt bought me a bead roller which is cool.

im plannin on buying some fimo next week when i get paid, ive never used it before (i dont think lol) and want to make cute charms to attatch to a charm bracelet lol.

kiki, you explained about the headpins, would i need eyepins ( i think they are called?the ones with the little ring to attatch to the bracelet) im soz for being stupid lol, but do you bake the fimo with the eye/headpin in, or make a hole with it and bake it, then twist it in?i cant find anything online doh!Cheers hun xxx

I remember for my graphics project i year 11 i used fimo for the counters and the dice in the board game I made, they was soo cool lol, I think making those was like my favourite part of the whole project!

i have...noooo idea. i dont really know what an eye pin is tbh...

i bake mine with the pin in...like ill make the mushroom, then put the pin in and leave it straight, then when its hard, twist it.
if i was putting it on a bracelet...id use a headpin and make a small loop and then cut off any excess after i twist and put a lil jump ring in and put it on the bracelet. but im not expert...i just worked it out myself. there might be better ways.
