I dont know if anyone will even read this...but its a poem i wrote about a month ago when i started to get sick. (im much better btw)


Shes getting sicker
And its starting to show
The hardest part of everything
is still she doesnt know

Hair on her pillow
poison in her veins
Everything is changing
Nothing is the same

Her body is turning against her
Yet a smile remains on her face
Popping pills to stay strong
Making pain disappear without a trace

Her face is pale
And her eyes no longer shine
She looks at herself in the mirror
"This body cant be mine"

Her skin is thin and worn
Her face is sunken in
she is finally realizing
The disease has set in...

She weighs herself and sighs
"a pathetic 102"
"I need to stop dieting...i need to gain weight."
"ive got so much more to do"

She keeps her weakness secret
nobody can know
She cant let people see her down
or let her pain show

She was that girl that could bench 120
Now she can barely bench the bar
She was that girl in the centre of the dance floor
Now shes watching from afar

She sick of people asking
If shes feeling okay
She's sick of people saying
"becky, you dont look good today"

She's sick of putting on that smile
and saying "yeah im fine"
She feels like shes going to pass out
She has realized that its time

She has to tell someone
Hope they'll understand
She has to get better
She needs a helping hand

I like it. Im not good with poetry but I liked the way it reads and the rhyme.

I love it! The wording and rhyme scheme is near perfect.
You paint a very vivid picture there, grrly! Kudos to you!!!
