I love, love, love Tim Burton....and I especially love, love, love when Tim Burton works with Johnny Depp. And *squee* Sweeney Todd comes out on Christmas day! I sooooo want the soundtrack for Yule (it comes out Dec. 18th) or my birthday.

Anyone else excited about this movie??????

I have been excited since... I first caught wind of this collaboration. Johnny Depp is my favorite actor, Tim Burton my favorite director, and Sweeney Todd my favorite show. You can't imagine how thrilled I am. Holy smokes.

I looks pretty cool, it will be weird to see Depp sing, but it will be cool. haha. they work together a lot!

Surprisingly, JD has a really good voice. I was concerned he would butcher the music at first, but his rendition sounds a lot different- in a good way!

Oo, I can't wait either! They both work so well together!!

I knew Tim Burton had a new movie that had Johnny Depp in it but I didn't know what it was called.

I'm always psyched to see anything made by Tim Burton or with Johnny Depp in it!!!

It has Helena Bonham Carter in it too I think, which is who I really like in Tim Burton films, so I'm excited. I'm not huge on Johnny Depp but his singing could be fun!

Helena Bonham Carter is Burton's girlfriend or fiancee' they all do a lot of movies together, kinda strange, but awesome. Depp and Carter look good together.

The only problem is that she doesn't have a strong enough voice for Mrs. Lovett. I'm sure it will be fine though!

Johnny Depp used to actually be in a band, though I think he was only a guitarist.

I've already got plans with one of my friends to go see Sweeney Todd. I'm thrilled coz it isn't too long a wait!

Wasn't Manson coming out with an Alice movie called Eat Me, Drink Me? I know it's the name of his newest album, but I also thought he was directing a movie with the same title.

I think it'd try too hard to be "goth", if he made it.

But they didn't mentioned Manson ... and said it was about to take place years after the Wonderland adventures ... when her parents died ...

I don't think it's gross. I'm not a big fan of Manson's music but I do respect him as an artist for doing whatever he wanted and not caring what the media or anyone said.

He wouldn't "try to hard to be goth" if he made it. I think he'd just direct it in his own style and how he envisioned it. So of course you'd see part of him in the flow of the movie, but that doesn't mena it would be some awful cheesy B-rate movie.

Marilyn Manson is directing a movie called "Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll".
It's a fantasy/horror where a writer is haunted by visions of a girl named Alice.
Lily Cole is rumoured for Alice, as is Evan Rachel Wood (thirteen). Well, ERW has "rumoured" after her name, Lily doesn't. And lily was in those images Xenia posted in her journal a while ago related to Alice I remember. Manson will also be playing Lewis Carroll.

who knows what it'll be like. I personally can't speak on Manson's acting abilities or directing so it could be terrible but it could be alright. We'll have to wait and see.

On another note, TB is working on turning his short movie Frankenweenie into a proper movie and also one called "The Spook's Apprentice" about a guy training to be a 1700's exorcist. It sound's pretty good. Lots of Mr Burton on the horizon.

Nah Manson is making a film about Lewis Carrolls (sp) life, but it has Alice in it too, the real and story world kinda merge (played by lily cole! wooo!)
