| I'm looking for an incredibly sad movie to watch. I won't cry over Nathan, so I'll cry over a movie(because it's not really crying over him). Any suggestions? It's not hard for me to be really sad at movies, but I'm nowhere near as bad as my mom where if you so much as bring up the Little Matchgirl, she'll start tearing up. Thanks for any and all suggestions. | |

| Cruel Intentions always makes me cry. Babel is really good and worth watching, not soul crushingly sad but still pretty depressing. | |

| hmmm apparently the green mile made my dad cry so thats maybe a good one. On channel 4 here, they often to lists of "100 greatest comedy moments" or something and they did 100 Greatest Tearjerkers so maybe something on there would help you. | |

| Meg Ryan is the reason City of Angels isnt on that list. She should never be on a list for greatest anything.. | |

| oh man, requiem for a dream. i found that movie soul crushingly depressing. umm, i agree with mandy, babel is pretty depressing. i find garden state completely upsetting because it mirrors Jamie's life a lot, and every time we watch it he gets pretty choked up. And if you don't mind musicals, rent is pretty depressing. (plus hot black guy + pretty black drag queen is so CUTE)
for a good chick flick that i always watch when i'm upset, i recommend Sense and Sensibility. I love watching that when I'm upset. | |

I've seen that and didn't find it depressing; if anything they got exactly what they deserve. |
