| MAC ruby woo is a humongously popular matte red- i have tried it and found it a bit drying. I wear MAC diva ALOT, but its a really dark/deep/im going to fuck you and you have no choice in the matter(lol) kind of red, not a bright red. What eelllse... I have a wet'n'wild one that elisabeth sent me... in 509A which is a sexy blue based red, it has pretty decent staying power. it also feels quite moisturising which is nice NYX Chaos is an AMAAZINGLY BRIGHT blue based red. gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. awesome stayign power over a liner Rimmel's lasting finish lipstick in 170 'alarm' is a pretty sexy orange based red, smells delicious too ModelCO's True Red is great, i got it in a palette and i luuurve it :)it's blue based also. lastly, Make up Stores Russian liner is my go-to red lip liner i wear alot fo blue based reds because i have a pink toned skin | |

| my absolute favorite is Ruby Woo. It is quite drying, but with a good lip balm underneath (you'll also need to get rid of any dry skin a la toothbrush method) it's fine. It also looks quite good with Russian Red lipglass over the top if you find it too drying. I use Brick lip pencil with it as well, and always start with my StudioFix concealer around the lips to erase my natural line. This also helps stop feathering. | |

| well this is the one i favour atm - which is...showcase by boots over this one - which i think is the other one - showbiz. although thats really faded off. i think i might just go for it...im not really one for particularly caring if its "the right shade for my skins?!?!?!?!?!!?" | |

AWWW YEAH! I just bought a new red from that new Maybelline collection (the BIG one, like twenty different colours or something - the shade I have is called Red Revival). Damn, it's nice, I think it looks better on me than Ruby Woo or Russian Red. It's also nowhere NEAR as drying, has a slightly satin finish and is fuckin' gorgeous. It's a dark berry red. | |

| Yay! Great topic for me, I love red lipstick My favorite red right now is the Make-up for ever Moulan Rouge lipstick, I work at Sephora now and have put it on 20+ clients and almost everyone looks great with this shade of red. Other than that I love Mac's Russian Red and Rubby Woo but I think Lily already mentioned this- they are a bit drying and you should use a lip conditioner before applying them. Also NYX has a red lipstick that's very smooth and pretty ,it's called "Tribute to Marilyn" and it's like 7 dollars, they also have one in their round lipstick line called "Chaos" and it's just a bit darker than the Marilyn one but also very pretty ! I think you can get both of them for pretty cheap on http://www.cherryculture.com People who don't live in the States might be able to get a hold of a Loreal limited edition lipstick called "Some like it Scarlett"- it's beautiful , perfect for pin up looks. Oh and has anyone tried Kat Von D's "Adora" on ? If so, what do you guys think ? I wanted to buy it before I tried it on because it looks really cool and unique but when I applied it, it was kind of orange on me....? Weird. Anyway, sorry I wrote so much, I just get exited about red lipstick LOL | |

| I soooo agree! I have a fairly dark skin tone and I just recently began to venture into red tones breaking the myth that red dosen't look good on darker complexions. Ruby woo looks great on me, and it looks great on you also. I Loooove Ruby Woo! | |

| People have ever said that? LOL'ING. Seconding Steph's statement- bright red (and pink) on dark skin looks amazing. Just like bright eyeshadow; it's a totally different effect.
