| Urgh, so I was absent mindedly touching my chin just now, when I discovered that im about to get a huge spot. I can feel it under my skin, its not out yet but I know its coming, it feels like a bruised little lump. SO I was wondering, is there anything you can actually do about these kind of things? I mean, is there anything I can do to either stop it coming through, or make it smaller and not as bad when it does come? Iv settled for whacking on a huge glob of toothpaste for now, but im not sure thats gonna cut it! | |

| get some ice, whack it on for a few minutes (not too long or you might end up with broken capilleries) and then dry. if you can, use a spot treatment with salicylic acid in it. i think soap and glorys spot gel does and put a tiny bit onto it. or just a little toothpaste for an hour and wash off.
then leaveee! i wouldnt go overboard with applying spot stuff or cleansing cause i think that it does more harm than good and can make your skin go mad | |

| don't pop it! the pressure will push it deeper into your skin, making it worse (and causing even more pain). wash your face, and do everything Ava just said. the ice calms the redness, the spot treatment helps it go away. make sure to follow through with your usual skincare routine first (wash, tone, moisturize, yadda) first, though! | |

| Thanks everyone. I didn't know popping them made them go deeper, eew! Though I can totally understand why people do it, its so awful having them just sat there on your face. Ice is a good idea, I would probably have never thought of using that, I just happened to have made a tray of ice cubes this afternoon as well. I will hunt for salicylic acid products tomorrow, thanks for the soap and glory hint (I always wanted an excuse to buy something from them ha!) Thankyouu | |

| Ok, not kidding here...tea tree oil...drys it out and takes away the redness without drying your skin out. Also, apple cider vinegar, it will BURN, but it will be gone within hours. | |
