| Alsoooo if you can find a cleanser thingy with benzalkonium chloride in it that's really helped me clear up infections. Though salt water is probably enough, it is a god send! | |

| i went into boots today and spoke to a pharmicist. she had a look at it and advised that i put some antiseptic on it, and then cleaned my earrings with it too.
i know salt water can work as well but i put some antiseptic on earlier and it feels good.
the other thing is, i have a little bubble type thing on my tragus...i cant tell if its got fluid in it but it seems to...help?

| I had that on my cartilage piercings too, I was told it's trapped fluid between the skin and cartilage to do with irritation from the piercing rubbing the skin when it moves. It'll go away by the time your ear heals up completely so don't worry about it too much. It might get worse (ie really red and sore) if your piercing gets infected though so keep an eye on it and keep soaking and all that loveliness. And ask your piercer if you're unsure. | |

| I get fluid bubbles with all my cartilage piercings Kiki, some folk are just prone to them =( I use witch hazel on mine, a dab of that or tea tree oil ever day coupled with your salt soaks and it should dry it out.. Unless you're as unlucky as me, with my snug I had to go back to the piercer and get him to drain in which was rather sore and yucky.. | |

| I had a bump on my tragus too, and they are very hard to get rid of for some reason with that particular piercing. Its basically a boil, and if you were to jab at it with a pin or something lots of gross shit would come out. The best thing you can do if you want to make it go away is to dry it up. You can use tea tree oil, sea salt soaks, but the best remedy I've found are mint chamomille tea bags. Basically just put the tea bag in really hot water and press it against the swollen bits, and repeat as the bag cools. Poking at it with a needle or whatever will dry it up faster as most of the fluid is going to come gushing out, and the chamomille applied afterwords helps to heal it rather quickly. But it will hurt if you do that, and its going to be a gross mess for the rest of the day.
Keeping it from coming back is to make sure you keep it clean, don't play with it, and try not to sleep on it.
