| Soooo as you girls may know, I suck when it comes to hair. I never know what will look good on me, that's why I've had essentially the saaame, LONG, boring hair forever. Like... ever. My whole life, pretty much. Right now it looks like this: That's a good representation of how long and wavy it is, completely naturally. I reaally want something cute but fun and relatively managable (and short?) for summer this year. I have no clue exactly WHAT though. What would look good?! I was told like, a little past shoulders, a little longer in the front would look cute. That way my waves could become a little more full and when straightened it'd look sorta like Victoria Beckham's?? ANY suggestions for me? I'll love you forever. | |

| I think your hair's gorgeous and I think you should keep it the way it is... but I do agree that the shorter in back/ longer in front would be way cute on you. | |

| the shorter in the back thing might not look right unless you take it quite alot shorter in the back...like above shoulders. but it's probably worth talking to your stylist. i think you'd suit quite a heavy side swetpt fringe, and lots of layers, get it cut into tonnes so it's all choppy and messy, that way you can put some wax/surf spray into it, mess it up and go!!! | |

| gina cut your hair and im disowning you.
i love your hair.
maybe you could just get it thinned out a bit, maybe some layers. then it'd be less heavy for the warmer weather.

| Yeh...if you want that VB thing it would have to get cut at the shoulders to look normal. Though I know what you're talking about.
I think if you do cut it...get it at your shoulders and have some layers and bangs done. You'll still have some length, but it won't be as heavy. And you'll still be able to pull it up in a pony.
Also, you can donate your hair to Locks of Love or something...

| Hmm, okay. These are good things to know. I guess I agree with you, Han, that it would have to be pretty dramatic and short to be able to pull it off.
I've heard that thinning your hair is reaaallly bad for it. Like, forever. Once you do it once you have to always do it and your hair won't be as healthy as before? Is all that true?

| Umm sorry i dont have any suggestions, i just wanted to say go for it on getting it cut really! Im sort of the same as you as well, i've always had really long boring straight hair, and though everyone says its nice, and dont get it it cut, yadda yadda, it does get boring when its been exactly the same your whole life. I did get mine cut really short (not short enough to be a bob but still above my shoulders) when i was about 19ish, and athough i liked it at the time, looking back at photo's of it, it wasn't very nice at all cause it was just a horrible, basic, cut-straight-across, blunt, cut. I didnt think too much of it at the time cause i wasn't into hair and fashion and makeup and girly stuff back then. I dont regret getting it cut, but if i could go back i would have picked a nice style for it, but, c'est la vie.
Anywayy, ya, i think as long as you do a bit of reasearch, hair magazines, etc, you'll be fine!

| Getting it thinned out isn't bad for your hair at all, unless of course they go over the top and leave you with little body at the ends! it's always worth asking them to chop into the ends a little so it isnt cut so bluntly as this can thin it out slightly, but to be honest if your going to keep it long i would't thin it out at all but that's just me ha ha ha =) | |

| Your hair is really pretty Gina, but I agree with Hana, lots of layers would give it more of a style. What about long blunt bangs, I think they would look pretty good on you, and your hair will look cute even when its tied back. | |

| i'm bias. i like medium length hair, hahah. thats why i have hair extensions, so i don't have to grow it. however, your long hair is so beautiful on you! i say, if you choose to cut it, just a few inches and looots of layers. and my only advice on thinning is thin it only if you think it's too heavy. i love hair thats full of body and thats easy to achieve with thicker hair. | |

| My hair is actually SO thick. Like, I can't explain just HOW thick it is. Imagine like... horse tail. Forreal. A TIGHT ponytail is like, an inch or an inch and a half in diameter. GAH. Sooooo much hair.
Maybe I'll just do that - a few inches off and have it thinned. And have my bangs done a little more... dramatic. That way I can still put it up, it still has length, but isn't tooooo ridiculous for the summer. We'll see though!!
