| Ok. Last night I decided to try dying my hair with kool aide powder. I wanted blue, but they didn't have that...so I went for grape.
It came out this NASTY shade of blackish green and looks HORRIBLE. I just washed my hair four times hardcore and its NOT coming out like AT ALL. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get this crap out???

| I did a google search, it will wash out in several washes, so don't give up hope. and you can always grab a box dye and dye your hair if you don't want to wait.
.... btw can we see pictures? lol

| Girll it's really not that bad! I kind of like it actually! and I hope you weren't offended by me asking for pictures. because I used to want to dye my hair with Kool-aid and I was just curious as to how the color actually looks | |

| I know that red and pink work really well. My roomies done that and it turned out great. Apparently grape produces lots of colors I was unaware of...I mean Green??? Where did that come from?? This stuff lasts so much better than hair dye it seems....I like SCRUBBED my hair and this stuff is NOT fading.
And no, totally not offended. Haha.
My hair smells good at least?

| Or wash your hair with beer or vinegar. It stippes out the color pretty good. And I agree with the other girls: it's not that bad. | |

| I just read on some random youtube video for kool-aid hair dye that toothpaste and hot water will take the colour out. I don't know if you're still trying to get it out, but if you are it would be worth a try. |

| Its finally coming out and starting to look less...murky.
Flor, maybe it was green grape...its just weird that I ended up with two colors from the same packets of kool aide.
I've always wondered when you see food dye in things...like on lemonade I saw on the back that it listed Blue Dye #40 as an ingredient...and I wondered why, considering lemonade is not blue at all...
So maybe there was bluish green in the packets along with the purple. Who knows.

| they do that to help create a certain shade of a colour. like, with orange, if you want to make it darker, you add more red. soo they'd add some blue to make the yellow of the lemonade lighter/darker probably.
I thought it was kinda cool how your hair turned out...but I can imagine in diff lightings how it could look...poopy.
