It looks like the Dore, yeah. Is it easy to work with? I've been looking at their patterns, but then I stop and flick through that book I told you about that has three or four corsets in it and can't justify buying a pattern before I try them. It looks really good so far, though! What kind of boning have you got in?

yeah its really easy to work with...the biggest pain in the arse was the front with the bust petals...i got it right after about the 5th time haha... i would use the pattern again, in fact i might see about making another one over winter break... maybe i'll ask for the kit for christmas

spiral steel, the solid white steel kind(cant remember the name) and rigilene in the bust

i need to find that book! i think you should try the ones in the book, can i see what the patterns for those look like?

kayla if you come to albright, paula(my costuming professor) does a corset workshop in the fall, and in the spring we'll be doing a victorian ball

gill corsets arent that hard to make, they do take some patience though! thats just how i tied it after, i could be bothered to try to tuck them in the back laces...

i need to do something about the gap at the top.... its bothering me, but i dont know what to do, i was thinking a hook and eye


and heres some advice....never drink soda whilst wearing a corset because
carbonation + corset= lots and lots of burping

Kate, you look awesome! And I can unfortunately attest to the carbonation being bad.. got my corset, was laced down four inches in about a minute, and mom bought me a giant Pepsi. Ack!

it so comfortable! way more comfortable than a bra! i was a bit worried about wearing it with out one, but ive worn the corset for two days with out a bra, with no trouble! infact i think i prefer the corset to a bra
