The stars shine tonight

I got tired of waiting for Katie to make my necklace, so tonight I did it myself! I'm slightly conflicted, though, as to whether the one star in front should be shortened or not. Opinions? Silver chain and clear stretch cord, for the illusion that the stars are just so enamored of me they decorate my throat by choice.

I wanted them all at different lengths, I think it looks more interesting that way.. Can you imagine this with a strapless dress? Or with a corset? That's what I was thinking when I made it.. not to wear with this t-shirt.

Yeah, I think it'd be cuter if the star were shortened to match the other side.

i definitely think it should be shortened tho. i hate when necklaces sit at the weird length where they're not a long necklace but don't sit nicely at your chest either.

I did cut it shorter last night, and I shortened and moved the one to the right of the clasp in the back, so it's a bit more even with the other. My mom got all annoyed with me, asking why the two in front were still so long, it gets lost, until I told her for the fiftieth time that it was planned for over a tank top or a strapless dress or a corset or something.. not over a t-shirt, or the sweaters I'll soon be wearing. She calmed down a bit after that, and I have a nifty new necklace! I almost want to make more to finally put something up on my Etsy...
