this is one of the first things that ive finished since i learned to knit over spring break...the other thing was a pair of handwarmers that i didnt take a picture of before i gave them to my secret buddy at camp... but anywho...its a pidge scarf knit from the threadbangers tutorial on youtube

Awesome, especially for your first time! I love the buttons also. And the colour. And your stitches look really even.

I haven't knitted in ages cus if the tiniest little bit of it goes wrong (dropped stitch many rows back, or a row that's a little too loose/tight) I'll unravel a load of it and do it again >_<

but i love this one alot and i cant wait to wear it!!! im gonna start the grey one this weekend....i also have some brown yarn that would make a very loverly steampunky one i think...actually they generally look a bit victorian dontcha think?

it says cast on 90 stitches...but it says 5 st/1" (5 stitches - 1 inch)?
so isn't that gonna be really wide?!

you use circular needles to knit it...it will be wide but thats how wide they are supposed be

shame i have no idea how to use circular needles. is it much different from normal? i cant quite get my head around them. ill need to consult stitch and bitch!

got my book out last night and taught myself to purl stitch and i bought some little like, 1m long things of wool (which cost like 70p) to practice colour changing (i got green and grey ofc!).

i also got circular needles im gonna have a go with too!

waist coat i have covered...totally made one out of an old jacket that belonged to my mum... its sweeet...but i hope to get a new scarf going this week..post pictures when im done.....
