Short Shorts

Ok I LIVE IN SCOTLAND. General weather is grey and wet and not very hot. Even when it is "hot & sunny", it's really not.

I just bought these: red and white gingham shorts

And I'm not sure what to wear them with?!?!?!

I was wearing thick black tights when I tried them on but I'm not sure. I would need something. I really don't think I can go with just them. I'd get flu.

HELP LADIES?!

I want to wear them to dinner and a party on Saturday! I'm going shopping tomorrow. What do we think I should wear with them?
Give me tops, shoes, jewellery ideas. EVERYTHING.

I think you should keep the tight idea,
maybe try a different color?

I'd wear 'em with a plain white top, maybe v-neck or something with little cute puffy short sleeves, TUCKED IN, and then with just stalkings and cute flats. either white or black flats. Not red. THEN... gold jewelry. A long-ish necklace? That's what I'D do...

ah but which? black/clear/grey/white all seem like the basic "base" type colours which might not clash...but they might.

ooh you could pull off white tights with dark boots, then a tucked in white shirt with a matching dark color jacket THEN with the gold jewelry?

I think they'd look with bare legs - but if its too cold, cheer skin coloured tights? with some white flats or low top converse, maybe white hightops? with a white top tucked in like juna said, and i'd mix it with something kinda nautical - nautical scarf/jewelerry or soemthing? like a wee anchor necklace?

I think maybe navy or royal blu colour tights and a vest top the same colour and then some like white keds, and you could put like a navy cardigan over the top.

Ok, I've got some white plimsoll type shoes I bought in primark today. I've also got plain white flats.

I've got black lo-cons and black plimsolls.

I'm thinking about trying a top I've got from topshop, which is white with BON JOUR in red & blue letters.

I've got navy blue tights I could try. They're quite dark but not too dark if that makes sense.

I'm going to a colour themed party on Saturday so I might try out red white and blue then if it's hideous, it wont matter.

I like the idea of the Bonjour top with the shorts and navy tites and the white plimsolls!! I think that could look so cute!!

This may sound weird but I like hot pants with leggings under them and high heels

also i bought a pair of navy ones with white stars which are more like short culottes. they look like a skirt and so are easier to wear. i wore them with black tights, a black vest, a black cardi and white plimsoles.


today i bought a dark khaki green pair which i love and are quite short. not sure what to wear those with aside from black again maybe? any ideas?

i liked that second combination!

For your green shorts, you can always wear navy, or even a different shade of green if you were ballsy enough for it.

BTW, both of the outfits you did = very cute.

id fear lookin like peter pan/robin hood if i wore more green. ill try grey/navy/black tights. i put them on with natural tights which look good obviously but im a bit chicken about that!
