| Okay, so although I don't play many games, I do love the Sims and go through periods of being addicted to it I have all the expansion packs apart from the extra clothes stuff - you can download/create your own online anyway. Does anyone else play the Sims 2 or like it? Or am I on my own in my sad little world....? For anyone who would be interested in addons for the game, www.xmsims.com is a great site for some cool hair/clothes. |

| Boohooo, I love the Sims, but on my computer TS2 doesn't work... Well it would, but it'd take 1000 years to load... Very slow for me, so I never got into it. But it's weird that you made a topic about the Sims, because I was cleaning out my desk and I found the discs for the first version... : ( Makes me want to fire it up... | |

| There's a Sims 3 coming out, which I think is rediculous. Sims 2 is great as it is! They just want people to have to buy new expansion packs. | |

| Yeah, I agree - I think Sims 2 has got some good extras, and I don't see what more Sims 3 could offer? Sure the graphics may look much more clean, but I think the expansion packs for TS2 work well in gameplay.
Now, if they brought in TS2 version of Makin' Magic (from the original Sims) then THAT would be very pleasing indeed! |

| I got addicted to the Sims when I used to stay at my boyfriends flat in Glasgow and he'd be working all night..I'd be lonely and have nothing else to do so I'd play it for like 6 hours at a time..I just used the money cheat though so I could make pretty houses..
I have it for the DS too but was really disappointed, its totally different, not the same idea at all. And I completed the game in about a week.

| I go through phases of being completely addicted and then not being bothered. Right now I'm addicted! I especially love the weather expansion pack, all the pretty colours and the leaves falling off the trees...! | |

| I'm unsure whether I will like the new expansion pack coming out - The Sims 2: Apartment LifeIt could be really great with some good add ons, or buggy and hardly anything new |

| better graphics probably..the graphics on sims 2 aren't fantastic. I think on sims 3 you can zoom in more and see facial expressions and all better..not really needed though if you ask me..just another way of making money out of us poor folk addicted to gaming =( | |

| Aside from graphics, I think they're just making it more sophisticated. From Wikipedia (I've shortened bits down cus it was long winded): - Quote :
- Sim houses and neighborhoods will be entirely in one seamless, continuous map. "what you do outside your home now matters as much as what you do within".
Other Sims will age with the player's Sims as they interact with them. Typical bladder and energy motives will be replaced with "moodlets". The game will also incorporate further aspects of real life, including several new jobs. - Quote :
- Personality configuration for Sims has also been made more complex,
with the original 'percentage bar'-style personality points replaced by descriptions similar to those in the personals section of newspapers. In addition to this, individual fitness bars have been added to adjust the Sims weight and muscle. Sims now have the capacity to become extremely obese, or extremely muscular. - Quote :
- The player can now choose their Sims' favorite color, music type, food, etc. Players can personalize much more about their Sim, such as changing body shapes as they could with faces in The Sims 2.
Also there are sliders for weight and fitness, although Sims created as overweight can become slim by exercising and Sims created thin may become fat by eating too much and not exercising. Arm and legs are separate so players can create Sims with fat bodies and thin arms. Players can choose specific Asian and African models as well. Clothes are also customizable from Create A Sim. Players can change the color of a certain piece of clothes or use their own patterns; shoes are separate and players can also have their Sims go barefoot. Probably the best/most significant part: - Quote :
- Players will be able to have their Sims wander around the world outside of their homes with no loading screens. This also means that the entire game is played in real-time, so Sims that the player is not using will
still age and may get married, have children, and/or gain other memories and experience other events. Due to the lack of loading screens, it is possible to zoom in and out from a complete view of the neighborhood to the inside of a house. Every building in a neighborhood will be interactable, none will simply be there to improve aesthetics.

| Sarah, if you create an account at the official sims 2 website, you can download from the exchange - people have already pre-made stuff like, characters from tv/movies, houses, furniture etc!
But also: http://www.peggyzone.com/html/index.html has some good free stuff! |
