Is the play still going?

no, it was just for friday and saturday, thank god. I say that because the lead for the second day of the play pissed me off, and I had to work in a really hot room. thinking of that, sorry I couldn't get better shots - the lighting in there was pretty shoddy as well.

hopefully everyone remembers the play was based in the 80s, hence the goofy dresses and teased-to-the-mountaintop hair. :]

Hmm, looks cool. If only we could get away with harsh lines like that in school for our 80s stuff. TV make up is totally different, unfortunately. We still have to make it super blendy even though it was 80s, psh.

You're doing great, yo. I think that on the green one, the shapes aren't quite the same, and the guy's mo' could be darkened a lil' bit more, but I pretty much love everything else. The blush could have been a bit heavier, and the lips, as it's a period play and that just... fits, but the eyes looked really cool.

So, yup, awesome job, Puffs! Did any of the shadows give you trouble?

The lights washed everything out. You can't see any of the highlight I did at all; I actually used a lot of highlight and blended the shadows to hell. I'm not a fan of harsh lines on stage.

In the first photo, Hannah's makeup wasn't finished there. Tony's 'stache was actually a lot darker, yet in the photo you can't even see it. As of the blush, itwas already heavy to begin with - so after dusting it on, I blended it out with my finger. this way, it was still super bright, but more even.

Everything looked better on stage - the VP of our school and the beauty obsessed teachers said everything looked really nice, and noted how they could see everything from far away. Its just depressing that the lights in the dressing room sucked ass and didn't reveal the true colours.

And no, the shadows were no problem - I used mostly urban decay and hard candy, so things were fine. Very easy blendability with those. Easy to manipulate. Also used my HT shadows, and my claires shadows. Basically, a bunch of my own fucking collection AND my own brushes, because moreland was too cheap to go out and buy extras.

oh can you do a review on hard candy? the makeup is nice.
But thats really wierd that the dressing room light only washed out some of the blush :/ cos i can see courts? did you use a different kind?

I didnt blend hers out, which means it came off harsher than the rest.

np. oh, and I just remembered, in the first pic, hannah didn't even have on her base makeup, which is why you don't see blush on her. otherwise, the dank sunlight and the flourescent lights in the room really killed all of the colour.

Ahh, fluorescent lights. Haha. Pity you couldn't get photos under the lighting they had on stage, would have been ace for your portfolio!

Arg, I know right? But I was dressed in killer 80s garb myself, and couldn't use flash photography or go with the audience. Mrr.

NYX pearl mania in baby pink in the inner corner
NYX pearl mania in sky pink in the middle
PEarl EX pigment in flamingo pink in the ourter comer
PEARL ex pigment in interference violet above all of them and then
NYX pearl mania in white as a highlight
