| The reason why I hate L'Oreal so much is because I feel as if they just try too hard to rip on MAC [i.e. HIP and True Match]. However, they've come out with paint things for HIP that have peaked my interest, simply because I lost my last creme shadow that was my go-to base.
here are links two three reviews:
http://nessasarymakeup.blogspot.com/2008/01/walgreens-haul.html
http://mrslynne.blogspot.com/2008/01/base-trial-loreal-hip-cream-shadow.html
http://mrslynne.blogspot.com/2008/01/product-review-loreal-cream-shadow.html
do you guys think its worth it? apparently, they're good dupes [though they'll never be the real thing], but the thing is, if they crease the way that they did for Mrs. Lynne, then it may not be worth it - because shadow creases very easily on me.
opinions? | |

| no, they dont; just neutrals. muy malo.
I may just go back to my WnW creme shadow because it worked beautifully for me. I'm also hoping to buy pigments but after lindsay said that HIP ones faded in the sun I was really turned off from buying them. I'm even turned off by the shadesticks. maybe its the pickiness in me. but even then, their shit is pricey, and I could just buy MAC instead. :\\

| rrrr, I know. it is lame. and I'd love to give the paints a chance, but man, if they crease, I'll be pissed. I'd rather take my chances with something I KNOW will work.
I'm gonna have to do some more research, I guess...? ;-;

| I love HIP (as we all know) but for that price, i'd rather spend the few extra bucks for the MAC.
And they have more colors too.
I may buy one in the black just to see if it's worth it though.
My eyelids are pretty normal so I'll post how it went for me. |

| yeah, exactly what I was thinking. they're stuff is just way too overpriced to be a drugstore brand. I'd be better off paying for the real thing, yeah?
and since I have almond shaped eyes, I have a pronounced crease, so its best for me to use a primer. I got the Cupcake Cult primer, and its...alright, but nothing too special.
hell, I may be better off trying to get my hands on UDPP [which I would promptly cut open and transfer to a jar, hmph].
and lil, I didn't know that rimmel had creme shadows. I'll have to look that up.

| oh wow, they look nice. rimmel is pretty cheap here, so I'd be willing to give them a shot. thanks for the link, lily! does revlon have creme shadow pots? Im not a fan of creme shadow palettes, so if they did pots, I'd try em - though revlon can be kinda pricey, too. they have great face products, though. EDIT:: so I read the reviews on the page and people seem to like the rimmel shadow. I'm gonna look up more reviews, and if I hear good things, then I'll go for it. | |

| mm exactly. I hope the rimmel one isnt in a glass container, but I may get two or three of the pens; the colours are nice and neutral so I can use them as a base or alone, which is my main goal.
rrrr. I need a job, ya'll.

| no one will hire me at the mall; hot topic speaks ill of me. that's what I get for trying to be nice and list their number on there. fuck that.
to stay on topic, I decided to look at the paints again, and Ive decided that they aren't for me. I will, however, look into the rimmel pots and revlon pens. I may even check out the maybelline shadows. Im pretty excited. :]

| Yeah, HiP is OK, and nothing more to me, I'd rather go spend the extra $5 or so to go buy MAC or some other brand. All my HiP is BOGO, so I don't really feel that bad for buying it, annnnnd I don't really like the pigments. | |

| Yo, I didn't feel like making a new topic so I'm just going to post here.
I wanted to get over my snooty-ness and give their creme liner a shot. I hear its damn good, and super rich in colour, but I wanted more opinions before taking any chances. thoughts? ;-;

| Revlon also has a cream liner, it comes with a brush, and I know one color is purple, and a deep navy blue, i.e. MAC Waveline and Macroviolet. But I just looked at the Revlon site, and they don't have them, so I don't know whats goin' on... IMO save the money and go to MAC. But it is nice the HiP comes with it's own brush, I'd just wait for a BOGO and then stock up on their liners. You should also try the shadow duos, they're really nice, great color. | |

| DON"T get it! I have it and it sucks. It's too dry to work with. The brush is painfully scratchy, feels like a broom. Also I don't even have sensitive eyes and it turned mine red and itchy as hell.
Get the Clinique one! It's so good, it's creamy and very easy to work with. It's just as rich in color as the HIP one and has a way better texture that won't dry out. It's the best liner I've used and I'd never go back.

| Oh yeah, the HIP brush is super shit. I just heard that the formula was good for daily wear. I'd get the Jane one that's been getting super raves but I'm afraid it may not live up to my expectations [not hatin on Jane, just a lil nervous, haha].
OO and the Revlon gel liners = black eyesmudge. They never dry down! I saw a review with pics and it was super disappointing, it would never last on my oily lids.
I cant get MAC since no one will take me to the mall in shreveport, we were supposed to go the other day but we never went. I actually had enough left over to get one too, damn it. ;-;
I'll def keep the clinique in mind Lindsay, since we have one in the Bossier mall =D

| Dido to what Lindsay said...Loreal HIP paints are not worth it in my opinion...that stuff creases for me so easily...I have #807 "secretive"...it's a shimmery beige color...it looks nice alone I suppose but I would not use it as a base because it does nothing for color payoff with ANY shadow i've used! *yeah, I tried it with MAC shadows,NYX, BenNye, Loreal HIP(heh)* |
