| Who doesn't love a good monster movie? And by monster movie, I don't mean shit like Jeepers Creepers, I mean shit like Godzilla. This looks set to be freaking sweet.
Trailer. | |

| It's amazing! I was on the edge of my seat through the whole movie, and I want to see it again and again! Most people dislike the shaky hand cam, but I really thought it fit well! They've also complained about not seeing the monster, but the times and lengths of times that you do see it, considering how the movie is being filmed and the plot, you do see it a lot. The basic plot is that the monster attack NY while some friends are throwing one character (Rob) a going away party (he's going to Japan, lol), a character named Hud is filming the entire journey they have going around the city, and the government finds the camera. I recommend that everyone sees it! I'm obsessin' right now! Oh btw, like in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 they have a bonus scene at the end of the credits, I made the mistake of not staying, soooo yeah, just a heads up! : ) | |

| Arggh, I didn't know there was a scene at the end! I'm going to look it up nooow.
I had been anticipating this for months, and I wasn't disappointed. I loved it, saw it on opening night here with Kelly, and it was AWESOME. I thought the camera thing was really well done, it put you right in the middle of the action and made it very, well, scary. Seriously, the monster was fucking terrifying.
I loved Hud, especially when he said to Marlena (however you spell it) "You know who Superman is?!" it was such a nerdy thing to say, and I was like squee <3 I've seen people complain about the acting, but I thought it was very real- they talked and acted like a bunch of twenty somethings. It felt quite authentic.
Seriously, I'm a fan of monster movies and this one shits all over most of them. I'd put it up there with The Host, and I loved The Host.
PS: Lindsay, I made a thread on this a while ago, it's around here somewhere. Yay merging.

| It's not really scary, but the first time I saw the monster it gave me shivers. It has quite a bit of suspense, though, the whole movie is them running from something that wants to eat them. | |

| Ohhhh yay! I want to go see this in theatres, but money is tight. I hope it stays in theatres until Grant's next pay in a week and half. The parking lot at the Silver City was PACKED with people, so I'm guessing everyone went to see it tonight (opening night here). | |

| Yeah I know! I was bummed about the scene too! : ( Hud was funny. Some scenes really bothered me like - Spoiler:
when they went to help Beth like two/three hours after she called, and she had that pipe through her chest, and they just pulled her off of it, and she was basicly fine, could run and everything, oh and survive the helicopter crash! Made me mad! I felt like the monster was just out to get Hud! lol, like when they're in the copter and he was just freaking out about how it "died" and then it jumps up, oh, and of course the end. lol ><

| Yep, it's like - Spoiler:
you have a giant fucking hole in your chest, woman! I couldn't run like that at the best of times, let alone when I'd just been impaled on something.
I knew it would survive the bombing. OH JAYME HAVE YOU HEARD THAT RECORDING PLAYED BACKWARDS?! How awesome. I could handle a sequel... Although I'll doubt they'll make one, this one is gonna have too much of a nerdy obsessive cult following who will go 'nyeeeehh you're just cashing in!'
Either way, this movie ruled.

Hahaha....good point. - Spoiler:
They could attribute it to Adrenaline, but that would only last for so long before she collapsed from blood loss.

bahaha. I KNOW! its pointless, because well...adrenaline will only get you so far. hell, in real life, she would have died on that bar bit, and she'd be all "blehhhchcchh" when they pulled it off of her!
