| I'm thinking orange. what do you think? Yay, or Nay? also, I wanna go with a temporary dye, like Color Pulse. Is there something better than that, or Color Pulse is fine? I'm a haircolor noob, so any advice would be really appreciated. =) PS; Yeah, I'm aware that that certain shade of orange looks a bit weird with my skin, but just to give you an idea... **EDIT** That's a photoshopped pic FYI, just to try out the color. | |

| I don't know about orange dyes much. since you dont want anything permanent, I can't say SFX or Raw. we have more "hair dye" oriented girlies on here - like pinkhaired - that can help you, though. | |

| In my oppinion, orange looks pretty good on you, but it's a little bit risk if you are brave enough.. go ahead!! | |

| The problem with orange dyes (as with any red tinted dye) it's hard to foresee what it will turn out like on your hair until it's done. Perhaps try a gradual coppery-blonde shade, and darken it from there. | |

| I like it on you. A lot, actually. I say go for it. Off topic, but I LOVE your bangs. And hair style in general. Super cute. | |

| I think a more copperish red would look nice. | |

| That suits you, you could look through more red 'ginger' semi permanent hair colours and you may find a pretty light one that would work well? |

| I'd much prefer it if it was more reddish than that. |

| I think that would be pretty cute. Is the picture how it looks now or the color you want it to be? If you want a real carrot orange try Manic panic, it washes out fairly fast and Special Effects is a better dye, but you said you were'nt sure so at least it would'nt be "too" premanent. Also if you want a color like that I think it would work better if you bleach your hair a little first, it will turn out more vibrant. If you want more of a ginger color go for drugstore color. Color pulse is not very good, I used it once and it lasted maybe 3-4 washes. I'm not sure what brands do semi-permanent, but I'm sure there are lots. If you decide to go permanent one of the best brands is hydrience, I used it for years and my hair always felt nice and soft and silky.
My opinion....I think if your going red go red. Like Molly Ringwald red. I think (from your pictures at least) you have the right complexion to pull it off. As long as you havbe no olive tones to your skin I think it would look pretty good.

| orange/red is like impossible to get out of your hair so make sure you really want it that colour. Personnally i think orange would look great on you, and colourpulse is really good and smells lovely. |

| Thanks for everyone's replies! ^_^ I think I'll go with Color Pulse anyways, because I don't mind if it fades out. I just wanna see if I like the color, and then if my mom ever lets me I'll go for it for real, you know?
I think they have redder colors too, so I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'll post pictures when I actually do this..

| Orange and red? Impossible to get out? Negative on that. Anything can come out. I dyed my hair orange/red/yellow, the week of Christmas, hated it, and bleached it twice, it's all gone now. But yeah, Molly Ringwald red would be hot. | |

| Stephanie, I saw some bad reviews on colour pulse... but only of certain shades. So I'd look at some online reviews of the exact colour you want before you buy it, cus some shades seem to work fine, and then some go patchy on tons of people. | |

| Well... You can't really expect to dye over a color and have it be perfect, like when you're coloring with crayons or colored pencils, you can't color with one color and then color over with another expecting it to just be ONE color. | |

| Yeah, but with a black dye you can, but i think it was cos the dye was permanent. But bleaching does get rid of red though. |
