| yeah. you essentially use artists palettes, usually metal ones. try any craft store. not sure about price. | |

| try a quick online search too. if your local art stores have websites, check em out before wasting time rummaging in the store. | |

| Would you have to get make up that was the right size to fit in? Just curious
I think I might be thinking of the wrong kind of palette...

i think i'll just get the metal thing from the academy That's what I was thinking when I first read the post haha. Unless they made brand specific ones, basically like a regular palette except in that shape.. but I don't think I've ever seen make up palettes shaped like that.. Meh who knows.

| I thought you meant pallettes, before I read your first post, as in huge mac ones where you can put lots of shadows in.
I havent seen palettes shaped like that, either. quite strange.

| i figured ot what im gonna do
i'll buy a regular palette, and then stick florists foam on it. That way i can press whatever i want into my palette, and if it leave the centre clear i can mix there. |

| What kind of make up are you going to mix? Cus if it was cream stuff or loose eyeshadow then you couldd do that on a regular artist's palette. | |

| uhm...lil...it sounds as if you're just speaking of a regular makeup artist's palette, which is what you SHOULD get. if you want something for eye shadows, just get a huge MAC palette and depot your shadows in there. it will save you lots of time. taping shadows to wood with the foam would look unprofessional. | |

| but i want it to be able to be hand hel without a lid, and the shadows to be able to be taken off and swapped around...

| you can swap shadows in a palette, too. you have to use magnets and labels on the underside of them for it to be possible, though. | |

| Maybe if you got a really BIG palette, it'd be big enough to cut into the shape you want and leave room to hold it? Quite a difficult one, tell me what you do in the end cus I'm intrigued now | |

| **revive since I don't see the need to make a new topic**
I'm finally gonna depot my MAC eyeshadows and put them in a palette.
Does anyone know where I can get some of those cool 15 pan palettes from MAC? They're not on the website and they weren't at the MAC counter I went to today.
I'm totally okie with buying them offline just as long as it isn't eBay or a site like that.
Thanks lovelies! |
