| does anyone have any helpful tips on this stuff? I've used patterns before adding my little touches here and there but I would like to be able to start making my own. I would also like to design some things. So any tips? |

| I looked for the book I bought for school, but can't find it. Maybe they changed the cover. I did however find out that Amazon has alot of books on it. Just look up pattern drafting and they'll all come up. I reccomend looking for a book that shows you how to make pattern blocks of foundation forms (just two different terms for the same thing) Basically they are "shapes" you make in your size for a basic pant, dress, and top. The book will then tell you how to trace them and then alter them to make up anything you want. Its a little bit complicated but once you got the hang of it, you can make anything you dream up. | |

| I was guessing that would be my best bet.
Thanks.
