ANNNNYWAY,
In textiles our teacher decided he was bored of the usual GCSE project of either decorating a tshirt, making a pillow or making a bag. Sooo, he's letting us make clothes for teddy bears from the teddy bear factory!
We have to make up a character for our teddy bear and base the clothes on that, and then we have to make a little Mr Men book sized story for kiddies to go along with it.

Oooh and for our trips he's gunna take us to various teddy bear factories which I think is just cuteee AND he's taking us most probably, to London Fashion Week to see some catwalk modelling or something else going on there! Yayy! That trip's only supposed to be for A level students but he's gunna try and squeeze us in.

My request from you guys is to help me come up with ideas of the character that my teddy could be, clothes wise. I was already thinking Japanese school girl, but.. that might look really retarded on a teddy bear. Please bare in mind that we get more marks by using lots of different techniques in our clothing. So if it's something that only involves one technique like, only elastic, or only buttons.. then its not so great. But even then, still mention it because if it's a really cool character I could probably just think of a creative way to add in some aplique and stuff like that.

Cos you could have her gothy, bright funky stage and then moving into her more musicy country type stuff and then banker.
And you have the music and sewing thing.

I dont know if it would be not allowed, but you can buy bear-factory wigs for the teddies for like £4 each. Which would help.

Altho it's not really well known as a character...but I think it's cool.

Another alternative, which isnt playboy bunny-whore would be Burlesque Star! A la Dita. You could make fans and a corset and one of those pink up red polkadot dresses and if you'd allowed a little help, a pair of heels from the BF. And if you were taking photos of something for the book, you can sit the bear in a cheap bowl or something for the martini glass.

she has so many cool outfits you could copy/take inspiration from. like her casual tshirts and stuff or her really fancy dresses and whatnot.

I wish I could pick some of those ideas but it's got to be for like, 8 year olds and lower and the story is a bed time story anddd the character is made up, its just the clothes that I'm brainstorming.

Our teacher wants a list of 25+ ideas by tuesday. It'll be easy though cus he just wants the theme (eg. fireman teddy, school girl teddy, skateboarder teddy etc etc).
My friends gunna do a painter teddy.. she's going to make a lil felt paintbrush and felt paint palette and put velcro on them to stick to their paws heheheheeh cute!

traveller/tourist teddy - like a couple of different cultural outfits like a french outfit or something.

you could still do like "popstar" teddy or movie star teddy (have like...normalish clothes and then a costume of some sort for the movie and a red carpet gown).

Ooh I'm luvin the idea of a character with multiple outfits. Since I wanted to do a japanese school girl, she could like, turn into a (girly) super hero (Sakura of card captors style!) or a popstar or sometthingg.. hmm...

like...you could pick goblet of fire and have like obviously not "Harry Potter" but you can have his robes and a coloured house scarf and hat and then his christmas jumper from mrs weasley and jeans and then dress robes for the yule ball.

OMG absolutely loving the faery idea Shauna! I could make the wings detachable (you know with elastic that goes round your arms like dressing up wings) and the story could be that she doesn't have wings yet and all her fairy friends laugh at her. But at the end she gets the coolest wings. Sorta stealing from ugly duckling
