nude nailpolishes!

anybody have any rec's?

i have totally killed my nails with glitter polishes and the fact that they DO NOT come off with remover... or anything
so i'm back on the opaques!

i love pastelly colours right now, being spring and all
but i have a ton of lilacs, pinks, mint and blue
so i'm looking for some kinda pretty taupe/nude/old lady-ish colour!
preferably without any shimmer, but i'm easily swayed!?

i have acess to opi and china glaze pretty close at sally's
also nails inc
but can easily order online!

ssooo if anybody has any recs i would muchos appreciate it!

I saw this really nice one on a blog the other day, it's by Leighton Denny and I think it's called Supermodel.
There's also Brief Encounter which looks a bit paler but I can't find a picture of it on.
Stumbled upon one by Essie called Chinchilly when looking for it

I've never tried any of these though, I buy really cheap nail varnish but I know those are both great brands

My favorite nude is Let them Eat Rice Cake by OPI... not sure if its still around, but its like a really nice matte LIGHT LIGHT pinkish tan color. So purdy.

OPI's bubble bath is a really pretty sheer pink

i think let them eat rice cake is ltd edition which sucks but bubble bath is perm so defiitely going to check that out! *excited*

sor, leighton denny was actually the reason i asked!! i was watching qvc (don't judge, its addictive) and they had a value thingy with a couple of nude polishes in it which looked loverrry!
- on a side note, have you looked at his website under the "gift shop" section? what the actual frick! a wine rack?
essie chinchilly is GORGEOUS though. it might be a bit dark for spring but i neeeeeed it!!

I have Revlon "Touch of Mauve", its not really mauve at all, sort of a muted beige-y pink, i lurve it

well i finally managed to buy a nude polish after 2 months hehe - seriously nowhere seems to have any in stock that arent full of shimmer?! its mad!

anyways i was in sallys yday and wondering around looking for said polish, and at the very back of the store they had a ton of discounted stuff and thats where i found this baby half price!

i have to put on about 4 coats to get it really opaque but its a lovellyy colour - i feel a new addiction to nudes coming on!

you need like 3-4 coats for it to be uber opaque, but the colour is pretty lush!

i just bought a thing of random nail art stuff from ebay last night and it comes with a ton of plates -

i only really wanted it for the polish (beause im cheapo lol) not the plates, but im hoping it will come with at least one bow and one hello kitty hehe!

it was super cheap, like £1 plus £12 postage - so itll either be really sucky or a bargain!

ohhh ive seen that!! katy perry posted a few of her nails done with the minx stuff. it looks like it could be amazing but konads suuuch a better investment? like all you need is nailpolish?! seems kinda dumb to spend so much money on something thatll last like a week?

get a konad though!! theyre so fun and addictive (clearly lol!)

okayyy i have found a new favourite nude polish! sorry OPI but the fact that the quality of your products are so inconsistent i have found a new baby!

if any of you girls are in the UK gggooo to your nearest boots now!! and get Nude Beige from Models Own! I only found out my local had a Models Own stand today from here so hopefully that helps.





Two coats, lovely creamy opaque finish, no shimmer at all (halllllelujah), soft dirty brown with a shot of mauve. Such an old lady colour - I love it!

all of the polishes that came with - the orange colour is rad... i love it!
theyre nice and thick too for the konad plate. the brushes are awful but i probably wouldnt use it for actual nail-painting so no big deal!

also a pic of all the plates that came with.. sorry this is huge!!
i think i've used like 3 of the plates lol, the things are so random?! like sheep and stuff haha!
(the ones that look all scratched are the ones that still have the plastic protector thing on)

Mini, I got them off ebay but the person I bought it from ("onlineport") isn't listing them anymore! But I just searched 'nail art plate' and just looked at all the big bundles of 12 or 18 plates!
